Has anyone had a problem with these cheap little buttons on the visor? My garage is finally built and ready, and as I was programming the garage door, they got stuck in and bent. They will not release. I barely pressed them. I'm afraid to take it to my dealership because they're too busy and they never tell the truth.

I had trouble programming mine--had to read the manual--imagine that. I have not had any problems with my buttons. The assembly looks just like my 2011 suburban--but it did set up different. A good dealer should be able to fix it ok. cutnout aka Charlie

Unfortunately, you are the third person who has had this exact problem. The good news is that the dealership easily replaced others' visors and problem solved.

Good luck!

Yes I had this problem on my 2nd day of owning the car, dealer ordered a replacement, took about 20 minutes for them to do, I was more cautions on pressing the button when programming it again and all is fine.

Thanks very much, Elegant. Dennis, I am in the process of finding a decent one. The next "best" one doesn't service many corvettes, but I think this shouldn't be too difficult. Thanks Charlie and smajicek. Glad to know I'm not the only one.

I just replaced my garage door openers and reprogramed the visor buttons. I had the car sitting in 108 deg's in the driveway while I put in the new openers. When I went to program the buttons, they were hot as hell and sticky. I waited for them to cool down later in the evening and they worked fine. Apparently they become quite sticky when the temperatures get up as I don't have any problem otherwise.

I haven't programed the buttons because I need a new garage door opener but I have pushed the buttons when looking over the car and they just seem really cheap. :(

I agree that the buttons and the whole visor assembly feel flimsy. They are also kind of small, but the visor is small too. I read the procedure in the manual and it all went smooth as silk for two Genie garage door openers, in two different garages (one opener in each garage). I have learned to use a soft touch on the buttons. On my 2014 GMC Yukon XL Denali the there are three substantial buttons on the roof mounted console. They are more substantial and have a better feel. However, even after reading the manual and repeating the same procedure on both doors, only one of the doors would link to the buttons. I haven't given up yet, but I havent tried recently to do it again. My method is walk away for a while and not get upset and try to force. I don't always follow my own advice. Don't give up on it and it will all work out. Just my opinion...

My left button has been stuck since about the 3rd day after I programmed it. I programmed one of the other buttons. They require a soft touch.

Flimsy buttons. On my list to get have fixed when I take it in for service.

Friends of ours just sent us an e mail that after two weeks of perfect operation, their visor buttons are now stuck (new visor ordered this morning). Supplier sure screwed up the manufacture of this part.
