The mid-engine Chevrolet Corvette was shown to dealership reps earlier this week at their big convention in Las Vegas, reports Torque News.

"According to someone who attend this week’s Chevrolet national dealership convention in Las Vegas, small images of the long-rumored mid-engine Corvette were shown, allegedly revealing the front end and hood of the next generation American supercar."

i just wish they will hurry. I turn 81 in July. Charlie aka cutnout
Charlie, you still have several Corvettes to buy in the future, heck you may even wheel around a front, mid, and rear electric C12 Masterpiece that has hover capabilities during traffic jams. All I know concerning the future C8 Masterpiece ME, it's going to be a long awaited for outstanding milestone for the Corvette history books. I can only fathom what a C8 Masterpiece ME ZR1 would have to offer.

Front engine, mid engine or ??? I am traditionally focused to buy a V8 with a fine set of exhaust that burble and rumble. The mid engine concept in the first post will do just fine. Charlie aka cutnout

Yes, yes, the lovely exhaust music treated by a Chevy V8! Strong and repeat rumors are that the the ME’s V8 motor will come with stock headers (but of course not confirmed).

"The NEXT GENERATION Corvette"

If I were to take that literally (and why wouldn't I ;) ), I would then state that when ME production begins that the current C7 generation production will end, as there has never been an instance in Corvette history when two generations were produced simultaneously.
But then again, there has never been an instance of a mid-engine Corvette being produced, either.

So does this mean Goodyear on the C8? Looks like the sign on the entrance says Goodyear.
Just means Goodyear is a sponsor at the Nurburgring.

Our club sponsor here in Houston (Classic Chevrolet Sugar Land) told us at our last meeting 2 weeks ago that they have assigned one of their sales people to be the C8 specialist to go for training and that they will be one of the first in Houston to take C8 orders. However, they don't actually have any information to share about sales start dates, pricing or when their training will actually start.
