I turned in my Stingray to a dealership on Monday, as GM gave me a 100% buyback due to the oil issue that wasn't resolved on two attempts to fix at my purchasing dealer. GM even refunded every car payment I made to date and zero depreciation for the mileage I had put on. There were a couple other minor issues that a service advisor refused to address at the new dealership, but when I told the manager about that on turn in, he blew his top.

For anybody that has owned a dog for a long time, we also had to put ours down that afternoon (15 years old, or 105). Miss the dog way more, Stingray will be replaced, you can't replace a companion.

Sorry to hear that about your dog, did the same a couple of years ago with a 17 yr old dog, very tough thing to do and go thru. When they start to suffer though in the end you really have no choice. Doesn't make it any easier.

Glad to hear you have worked out your issues with GM.

Sorry to hear about your dog! :( We have a 16 year old and dread the day she is no longer with us.

Will you be getting another Stingray?

Glad to hear you were fully refunded for your corvette. I'm sorry to hear about your dog, there is no comparison between a dog and their owners. I spent a few years relying on my dog to keep me alive while I was deployed so I can kinda understand your bond.

So glad to hear GM totally stepped up! And so sorry to hear about your dog. That is so sad.
GM did me right and I will show my gratitude with a 2015 purchase.

Ret9580, sorry to hear about your dog,the right choice is sometimes hard to make when our four legged friends are suffering. I'm glad to read that GM took care of you and your situation. Are you going to get another C7?

Ret9580-

Sorry to hear about your dog and glad that GM took care of you in the way that you were fully satisfied.

We lost our dog of 14 years April of 2013. The wife and I both said at first, lets wait a few years before we see about another dog. I travel a bit for work, so am gone 2 to 3 days at a time once to twice per month. Well she kept telling me that the house was really quiet when I was gone. So it was in late May we started the looking process, so much for waiting!! We now have a beautiful all black Newfoundland, got him last September at about 10lbs and 12 weeks old. Now he's just over a year old and weighs in just over 100lbs and headed to about 140 to 150 lbs when he finishes growing.

I know the hole in your heart that it leaves losing a good friend such as your dog, but if you choose, another can come along to fill the void.

Best wishes in that part of your life's journey.

It's great GM took care of you. Very sorry to hear about your good pal. I know what you're feeling. I don't know if it is a good thing or a bad thing but the feeling never goes away. See my Avatar...That was my best friend in the world who I had to put down 5 years ago because of a tumor on his liver. We were very close and I think about him all the time.

So sorry about your best friend. Been there done that. Our kids are our dogs. Plenty of possible friends waiting out there to be adopted/rescued.

Sorry about the car too.

People will call me silly but I'd take my dogs over the car any day. My car doesn't give unconditional love it's entire life.

I'm somewhat shocked GM bought the car back after what I thought was resolution of the problem at the 2nd dealership. Though I doubt it will ever happen, it would be interesting to see what they find or if they even bother and simply auction the car off to another dealer.

Sorry to hear about your pal. We had to do the same 3 weeks ago with our old girl. It took me over a week to start feeling normal. I still find myself looking over my shoulder for her from time to time.

"Outstanding", that Vette juice runs through your veins, if I ever had a problem like you experienced with my C7, I would also buy another one without any doubts!!
