Yes, I was told they were updating the site so that we can "track" our C7 in route home :) Hang in there! It should be up and running soon with an actual tracking system that works.

Mine just moved to 3100 from 3000, looks like production is definitely ramping up. Maybe they just ran out of parking lot space in BG? LOL Cant wait for first member pics to start coming in. Very excited !!!

From GM Sept. 19th press Release:

Chevrolet.com Order Tracking System
An issue was discovered late last week that the Order Tracking system on the Owner's Center within Chevrolet.com was not providing accurate information to customers with Corvette Stingray order numbers. Customers who now visit the site will receive a message indicating the site is unavailable. The customer will also be prompted to send an email to [email protected] for order inquiries. The emails will be answered by a select team of customer assistance specialists who will be able to provide the latest vehicle tracking information. It will not be instantaneous, but it should ensure proper ordering and shipping expectations are being provided to the customer and dealer. This process only applies to Corvette Stingray orders, and the system continues to be available for tracking of all other Chevrolet orders.

I read somewhere a chev message that it's never coming back up for corvette orders.....best to email or call.....but it's ridiculous as your dealer can pull up workbench anytime you want. The problem is people are calling multiple times a day, and when they don't like the answer, calling again hoping to get another rep.....

You're telling me!!! The inventory manager keeps telling me that he's not getting any updates of substance. Hard to believe considering the input from fellow forum members. I needed a sanity check so I spoke with Rick Conti long after I placed my order locally in early July. He's a straight shooter who deserves his success. Sure wish I knew about him before I walked into my dealer. Beyond the sales/inventory issues, I asked a service writer and the service director about the ability to raise the car at each corner...neither one had a clue and said they won't know much until a unit appears. I thought servcie training was already done and is a condition of allocation. The process has been very poorly managed, in my experience.

I expect that my dissatisfaction will be bashed by others. Pound away.

No bashing..you are right.....but in defense of the lower echelons of the dealers, they get no training for things like lowering bolts and enthusiast questions, they are buried explaining oil changes to the secretaries with sonics and malibus that whine it's too much....and communication between depts that hate each other like sales and service is non existent in most centers....

Jacking instructions start on page 10-3 or 227 of the PDF. No mention or warning not to lift from only one corner and interestingly, they include the cradle jacking instructions so you can raise the front or the rear with one floor jack.
