Have any C7 owners in Florida entertained a proposal and/or purchased the GMPP? Would you share the term and price? Thanks.

Yes I did purchase it thru my dealer. It was for 84 mos 56k with 0 deductible. My dealer charged 2825. After purchasing it and speaking to a friend I did alittle research and found the price should have been 2000 plus tax. I fought with my dealer and got nowhere. I then proceeded to contact GMPP directly and the fee was 2k plus tax they refused to sell to me and I then contacted GM directly. They worked on it but unfortunately I got nowhere. I placed many calls and eventually after all my calling and proof to my dealer he conceeded and is issuing me a refund check for 825 plus tax. If you can try to get your vin and log onto GMPP direcct and get a quote. These fees are regulated in florida and should not be more than what they quote you, Do not mention you have a quote from a dealer or they will refuse to sell you the plan. They state competition to dealers is something they avoid. After all is said and done Im waiting for my check this week.

Ive learned a very valuable lesson and I will never make that mistake again. I came very close to reporting my dealer to the State of Fla to be investigated. Im finally happy Im getting my money back

Wow. Thanks!!! That information is quite valuable and most appreciated. Your unfortunate and aggrevating experience is exactly why I asked for input. The goings-on with this launch are very disturbing, to say the least. I've read you're other posts and sure hope that your long-term experience and that of all of us, makes us forget the BS. Sooner or later, someone will contact the State Attorney General.

Dennis Fichtner at Fichtner Chevrolet is hands down the best priced, least amount of hassle associated with a GMPP. Contact Dennis.

[email protected]

There is no reason to purchase it locally. As long as it is a GMPP Majorguard warranty it will be handled exactly the same.

Also please be aware that a GMPP warranty starts the day you purchase it and the mileage as listed and runs concurrent with your factory warranty. The reason this is significant is say for example, if you were to purchase a 36 month, 36,000 GMPP it will not be 3/36 additional it will be concurrent with your bumper to bumper warranty and your net additional coverage will be zero.

I've posted this info previously. The dealer cost on the GMPP Major Guard is under $1,700.00 for 60/100/$0 deduct. Get your money back and wait until your warranty is about to expire as you can always buy it then. Dealer cost on the tire replacement warranty is around $400.00 however I don't believe it includes the rim.

I contacted Dennis and although the price is just about identical to what my dealer wanted to charge me (7 yr/75K miles), Dennis is offering me same deal but with 9K more miles (7 yr/84K). He also said GMPP doesnt offer 75K mile warranty so whatever dealer tried to offer me must not have been GMPP.

FYI for all of you replying that don't live in Florida we CANNOT purchase from an out of state dealer and the price is fixed by the FL Insurance Commission, not GM or your dealer. In Florida it's considered insurance and regulated as such. Dealers charging more than the registered price are braking the law, there is no gray area here. They should be prosecuted, that's the only way they will get the message.

Yes my quote was thru Dennis and he can do it by phone/email for AZ. As Mark pointed out above, there are some state regulations depending what state youre in. Drop him an email he seems pretty straight forward.
