Hi
I'm new to this site and I'm moving to Austin In January..I bought my last corvette in August 1987..before the crash..
I think and what I have read this is the best corvette in 40 years...also is it true there is a one year waiting list?
Thx

Depending what you order, when, body type, if there are constraints, dealer allocation, time of year you order. A lot of factors. Best thing is work with your dealer. I ordered mine as soon as we were allowed to place orders and took me about 2 months, pretty much every option Z51 package. Good luck. You wont regret getting this corvette. By far the best one yet.

Welcome aboard. Great group of folks here. Full of great information. I ordered mine and it just got finished. Waiting for delivery. Fine a dealer that knows what they are DOING! They should have all the information on what is on back order, and what will slow down your delivery. Pending on if you are in a hurry or not. One Year waiting list, not true. Dealers told me it would be 3 months for what I wanted. Mine was ordered and finished in less than 4 weeks. Once again its all about what Options you order. All the best. It's an incredible car to say the least.

Suggest you visit this site on our forum of other Texas StingRay-loving folks, and in open posts, or via the private messaging (PM) system ask them about "the good and the bad" about dealers in the Austin area. I am sure they will be helpful.

And regarding your questions as to how long you might have to wait, as noted above in previous responses to your post, it depends not only on your dealer having allocation, but also which options are "must haves" for you -- as a few are currently on restraint. Conversely, there are several folks on this forum who ordered their StingRay from a dealer WITH allocation, however their order did NOT have a constrained option, and they got their StingRay within eight weeks. Please keep asking questions, and you will get great help from many, many on this forum. Here's another place to learn more about allocations, especially post # 116, though reading your way through this entire thread might be very useful to you in the long run.
