Even my grandkids aren't babies any more, so I bought this one some new wheels and tires.
Set of Continental Extreme Contacts and Forgeline F01 wheels.
Very happy with the change and rides nice.

It’s been a long time waiting for you and it obviously was worth it because the meat and wheels look great!

In the Great Sam Cooke singing voice in the hit song "A Change Is Gonna Come" "It's been a long time coming, but I know a change gonna' come".

Song Remix:

"A Corvette Z06 Wheel and Tire Change Is Gonna Come" "It's been a long time coming, but I know a change gonna' come for my Z06". 🤣 🤣🤣

Yes, less than half the time as the previous 20 spoke wheels. Wiping the caliper off is a breeze now. I may even try to keep the barrels clean with easier access now..................maybe.
Of course with the ceramic pads, that's not much work anyway. 😁

Norm, good to see your tires finally came in, so that you could install those new wheels. Looks great.

They look even better in person. They transform the complete look of the Corvette. Excellent choices, Norm.

Well, I have to admit patting myself on my back, I made a pretty good choice with the wheels and especially the tires. I get a little jaded at times admitting nothing's that great and the "oh wow" factor is just not there.

I've put about 500 miles on these new tires now and am really impressed with the ride. Today, I went on a recon scouting mission laying out my route for a "mystery" lunch run this Thursday. I enjoyed the run on the country back roads so much, I explored 3 other routes because I wanted to keep on running. Actually the first route sufficed.

Since the C6 through now, I have had Goodyear's, Nitto's, Michelin's, Pirelli's, and all were satisfactory, however, the Continental Extreme Contact non run flats have an outstanding ride. It feels like a new car, for whatever reason, it seems peppier, smoother, lighter, steering is pinky finger controllable, no dragging feeling, no lagging feeling, and just plain drifting is effortless..........I don't get it, just can't believe the difference.

Have been using the same tire pressures for all the tires over the years, keep 32 psi in all, handling in the rain is superb.

OK, off the soap box, feel free to use my recommendation anytime.

Disclaimer: I do not now nor have I ever been associated with Continental tires.
