The car was shipped with the regular grill installed and the gray one in the trunk. The install time for the dealer is .5 hours. I plan on hanging the black grill up on the wall.

This is the gray grill. Look at the thicker vertical part of the grill and you can see how it matches the car. This pick might show it better.

Want to leave mine black but replace the chrome strip with black.

Frankie - One thought is to use the material that people use to wrap their cars with, to cover up the chrome. It can be removed and replaced, if it gets damaged by stone chips.

there are 3 ways to do this:
easy - and surprisingly efficient: good old elelctrical tape and a razor blade
better - plastidip black - or smoke - 4 coats - lots of taping up to spray, but easy
also better - the $20 vetteFX strips - cur for it and easy as stick on....

all these are reversible too, no perm marks...and why I don't recc paint.

When things are $20, I vote easy - VetteFX.com

once again, how OCD are you? you can't see the diff in any of these by a normal person looking down, if you get on your knees and eye it a foot from the strip, you can find deficiencies...
