So I just finished installing my Halltech hybrid intake two nights ago and it's worth every penny. It definitely makes power and unlike previous generation corvettes you can hear a huge difference. It's substantially throatier and you can hear it sucking air. Initially my thought was that it was a little pricey but after seeing the quality and the airbox being true carbon fiber it's definitely a fair price. Jim at Halltech is also extremely helpful with install questions and doesn't make you feel burdensome at all! Very happy customer, thanks Halltech!

Ya, the fitment is amazing. The install instructions aren't very descriptive but Jim helped clarify a lot. If anyone gets one I would be more than happy to help. The stock intake had a monstrous baffle that just recirculated the air. In the bottom of the grill there is a hole that funnels air through the wheel well into the airbox.

Dyno numbers please, I call B.S.
I did not dyno it, but I know there are plenty out there. I truly believe there are gains in it, just not sure how much and keep in mind this is based off my "butt dyno". I am very pleased with the sound and performance. I'll see if I can find some dyno sheets, I'm almost certain Katech ran it on the dyno.

What am I missing here? This costs $1400 and you get about 14 hp gain.

0 ohm spark plug wires for about $140 and 13 hp gain. (At least that is the claim)

Just doesn't seem to be good value. Looks great under the hood! I do really like the look.

Only way I would mess with the performance parts of a C7 would be if I went with a highly established company like hennessey. Otherwise I'm just really skeptical of 3rd parties. Just saying.

Full carbon is 1400, the one I purchased was 899 with only the box being carbon. Not that 899 is cheap lol but just to clarify.

I will also join those that endorse Jim's products. Excellent CAI and the power gains can be documented by just replacing the stock air box with all the chambers/sound cancelling tubes, etc. that disrupt air flow and cause so many power robbing vortices throughout the stock air box. The early C6 OEM design was the most efficient of any, but they added (in 2008 I believe?) these silencers and make most after market CAI's a good improvement over stock.

Why the doubts from a long standing well known Corvette enthusiast? I installed the full carbon intake on my personal C7 and did before and after dyno without any tune modification.

Run 5 vs. 6 was 12hp/12tq
