Did they shift since you first got it? 2600 miles and all is well here, panels are all where they should be so far. Don't get bummed, you are under warranty, and all body parts are made to be replaced, therefore, they are adjustable. Inconvenient yes, nothing to get depressed about.

Yes, been that way since day 1 but on day 1 I was able to push on it from the left side and it would straighten out, now with 1500 miles on it it will not stay straight. I told my wife I will be taking it to the dealer when she asked why I showed her and she says she saw that the 1st day I got the car but did not say anything because I was so exited....

I have a few annoying issues like that but the dealer is not touching my car unless I simply can't stand it. They will just cause something worse.

Hope your fix goes well and eases your mind.

Easy adjustment on that one. After removing my front bumper cover, I now know how to adjust the front fenders and bumper cover alignment myself. Fortunately, it can be done. :)

Jag and Paul, 4 days at the dealer and could not fix it? I asked if we can escalate this to GM he says I can do that, he has no knowledge on how? Do I contact GM Customer service or?

Am I too OCD about this ? maybe I should just let it be?

WOW! Well, your service manager needs to have his regional manager take a look at it. That's what he should have proposed to begin with.

I wish you luck with GM customer service, they left me out to dry. PM for details.

As to the first comment, and after a life-altering family tradegy 2 years ago, I absolutely agree!!!

I have the same issue with the bumper cover...I push it back in and pops out again...maybe 1/16 in. The fuel door is also off center and that's a bit more noticeable. As far as I'm concerned, neither one is a "must have" fix.

Steve, if the service manager at your dealership does not know how to escalate something to GM, you need to find a new service department, in my opinion.

Mine was like that. I went back to dealership, body tech came out with screwdriver, and in about a minute he was done.

You can actually fix it yourself... Remove the screws just inside the wheel well, have a buddy push the panel into place, and then reattach the screws.

It makes me wonder how many of these "so-hard-to-fix" problems which dealerships claim takes them four days and still can not be resolved are due to dealerships trying to milk warranty work time/payments from GM.

I do want to point out that during that 4 day period they also spray painted the drivers side fender that was rubbing paint off because it was rubbing against the front bumper. that was their 2nd attempt at fixing that. The 1st time they just used touch up paint and it was fine for about 2 weeks until it started to chip off again. here is the picture of that problem before and after this last visit Yellow Vehicle door Vehicle Car Hood

I am glad they got the paint fixed for you, Steve. It looks as good as new! Here is to hoping they can get the panels all aligned soon, too.
