Gentlemen this is real upsetting because GM has not found a fix and has not recalled the vehicles for this rear panel/fascia issue. I have a 14 Stingray i picked up from the museum, so the spoiler was already on it...and if the temperature reaches 85 it bulges out embarrassingly. Does anyone here know of a dealer that has fixed this properly? My dealer is applying epoxy glue as a fix. These dealers are great at selling these cars but servicing them is a dam headache.

Here's what I know about the front bumper. Maybe it will help you. I'll provide some background...

I had body work done on my front bumper (2015) to repair a big (self-inflicted) wall scrape. Multiple body shops told me, in order to do the work right, the front bumper needs to be completely removed. My biggest concern was alignment to the lights, hood and 1/4 panels after the bumper was re-installed.

After I selected a shop, we took 360 pictures of the alignment "as found". My body shop said that two brackets are primarily responsible for alignment of the bumper to the rest of the car. Therefore, in order to guarantee alignment, he recommended I purchase two new brackets. In his words, once the bumper is removed, the old (original) brackets should be replaced because the bumper "never aligns right" if you reuse the original brackets. I trusted him, purchased new brackets, and the bumper aligned perfectly. I can't say for sure if they replaced the brackets or not. However, the end result was a tight and aligned fit.

Assuming the dealership may try to employ the most cost effective solution, I doubt they'll plan on replacing the brackets. I recommend taking this information to the dealer if you decide to get the alignment addressed or, for peace of mind, take it to some independent shops and get their feedback. If more than 2 shops recommend replacing the brackets, like all of my quotes did, you'll have ammunition to ask the same of the dealer.

I hope everything works out for you.

Hmm, I'm sceptical of the brackets needing to be replaced. I took the rear fascia off my '14 to install a carbon fiber spoiler, and reinstalled the fascia using the factory original brackets. Mine has always had and still has a perfect alignment. I think the problem arises from the brackets not being installed quite right at the factory. OP, you may be abe to have the brackets loosened and adjusted for a better fit of the fascias. The key is take the time to do it right. The assembly line can get a little rushed from time to time, and a dealership will rush it every time.

Never get depressed over a car, get depressed over something important like family illness.....

Simple adjustment, nothing more......
That, sir, is a terrific attitude. Sometimes it's easy to get lost in our first world problems. I think we are all guilty at times. Thank you for the reality check. FYI - this is 100% sincere.
