I am not sure that dealers are taking orders for 2015's yet, (who knows what the allotments will be?) but has anyone tried to place an order for a 2015 C-7? If you were able to place an order, what did the selling dealer tell you?

Some dealers have been accepting deposits for 2015's for a long, long time, though some refuse to take even deposits yet. I believe however, dealers can not place actual 2105 orders till about May 1st.

Got my deposit in on a 2015 Z06 eight months ago.

If anyone is going to place a 2015 deposit with a dealer who is accepting them, suggest before you do that, ask three questions:

Is it refundable?
What would be my priority number for my type of car (e.g. Coupe, convertible, or Z06)?
What is your 2014 allocation for StingRay coupes (if ordering one) or StingRay convertibles (if ordering one)?

No one obviously got a 2014 Z06 allocation, but the aforementioned allocation number(s) will help you determine the chances of your dealer getting a Z06. Z06's will be in short supply at the beginning (and like convertibles this year, they are only going to start production "in late 2014").

If ordered in May 2014, Ideally you should see a 2015 ZO6 around August 2014 or early Sept and have some good drivin days still

Oh crap, maybe I want a 2015/2016 and I just don't know it. I guess my brain may not be ready for this car :D, but it's not getting better with time.

That is how it worked with the previous generation, i.e., got the very first C6 Z06 Museum Delivery in Sept., 2005, but this year, as "urrtoast" noted, no driving until late fall/early winter.

Would the information regarding specs, pricing, etc. be available in may for the 2015? If not, when would be the most informative time frame?

Typically pricing, exact colors and the ability to order is end of April or early in May. Specs can come as early in the calendar year, though many option specifics are not available until later than that.

Thanks for the information. Now I have 6months to save up for deposit and down payment. Hope the price stays stable. How do you handle the black ice in a Z06?

All StingRays have traction control, but as the new StingRay has 98% the torque of a C6 Z06, caution is always advisable. Even the current StingRay with traction control can leads to bad circumstances, as in this picture, but the usual culprits of drinking, driving too fast or stupidity are the cause of almost every accident....

All recent/current corvettes will give you a warning when the outside temperature drops to 35 degrees on your driver information screen. I believe it says, "ice possible," or something like that.

My oldest son posted this picture on Facebook with a warning not to let his younger brother drive my car. Funny thing is my oldest wrecked one of my cars, not a corvette, when he was a teenager and my youngest never has. Lol!

I agree with elegant. In April 2012, a sponsoring dealer on another forum posted that he had an early 427 Convertible inbound. He knew what options it had but had no idea of the price. He mentioned that he would keep pricing in line with all other '13 vettes he was receiving (a substantial discount.) I e-mailed him that if the car's price was under a certain figure, I wanted it. That's how I came to own the number 41 427 Convertible (54th vette built in 2013, according to the sequence number on the build sheet.). I paid over $9k under MSRP. The actual sticker was not known until about the time the car had been built. The car was built on 5/3/12 and much like the C7s, was subjected to an extended QC hold, being shipped at the end of May.

Has anyone seen or heard anything about 2015's yet, in terms what will be different (if anything) from 2014? I have 2500 miles on my '14 and absolutely loving it. Im still getting thumbs up, people checking the car out nonstop. I would park in a parking lot away from cars and before I walk off parking lot, I would see cars circle the stingray to check it out. Its amazing.

I'm curious to know for the current owners of 2014 corvette... Will you be keeping it or adding z06 to your collection?

Yes,
I've placed an order for a 3LT, Z51 Coupe. It is with Dave Smith Motors in Idaho. Out of state for me. They are out of allocations now for 2015, but there is a wait list. Email them to find out how long it is. I'm number 2 on the order list. $3,000 under MSRP. Take it or leave it.
I haven't seen a better deal anywhere, although I guess if you try hard enough maybe you could find one.
