My heads up display seems to be tilting down on the right side.... Not level. Dealer says there is no adjustment and maybe the curvature of the hood is creating this effect. Does anyone else notice this? I know the level perception changes by changing your line of sight but when I have my head dead center it seems off.

The one I sat in and started up was tilted. The sales guy said they are all that way. I read online and others had commented the same thing. I am not sure if ALL C7 HUD are really that way, but apparently at least a lot of them are.

Has anyone seen one which was truly level?

Rodney; Your right that a fair number of owners have mentioned that this was the case with their car. I get the impression that not all of them are, and it's hard to get a feel if there was some change implemented @ BG to correct the issue. I guess we need to look at manufacture date and see if anything changes as far as the number of people reporting that it is, or is not, an issue with their car. I would hate to think it is just a variation in the production / assembly process.

Thanks, Chip. As a data point for you, the one I started up was freshly delivered in January.

How about if one were to turn it on, take a short level and determine if it is tilted, or as so many say, it is the fact that the hood slopes off to one side of it that makes it appear that it is tilted?

Mine is 12/13 build date and I just held a torpedo level up to it and it does appear to be tilted to the right slightly. Hard to hold the level and keep your head in the right position. If you move your head towards the driver window it appears to be level but that is not a normal driving position.

Wade427, have you gone to the dealer and sat in another corvette to see if it is Not level and if the vette on the showroom floor is straight then tell him this is the way yours should be and fix it?

Good idea but I am In the middle of Pa and none around in local show rooms. Would hate the idea of them pulling
The dash part to try to fix it. I was hoping some had theirs fixed with some adjustment my local dealer was not aware of.

Haha, Wade427, I am with you there. If I had owned that one I saw, I would have declined the offer if the dealership had said, "We will fix that for you under warranty. We just need to take the dash off, and pull out the HUD unit to put a shim in, then wire it all back up and put the dash back on." It was not so bad to risk getting a squeak in the dash, or risk a gremlin in the electronics of the HUD. At least, that was my impression.

Awesome! I am glad I am not the only one. Mine started level and over the last 400 miles it is sloping to the right. Thought I had lost it. We need GM help on this one because itis a fact.
Chip, you stay on top of things like this. Have you heard of someone in Papa's situation where it began okay but started tilting over time?

Steve, that is a great idea. Why don't you start a poll here for people to respond "It's slanted" "It's straight" and "I've seen it both ways on different cars" or something like that?

When I get my car I will post problems but right now I am just sitting in the sidelines reading posts and problems posted. I then post those problems on in a folder on my pc called problems to look for. When I do get my car I will go into that folder and look through all the pinned sites shortcuts of all the problems/solutions in this forum.

Go to FAQ section and click on FAQ.

In the search box type "start a poll."

Scroll down to the bottom of that page once it opens up, and read the different links and answers to the question how do you start a poll, specifically by reading the "Thread Tools" section, then read, "Starting A Poll." Click on underlined section stating, "Click here for more information on polls," then work, your way through the page that opens up.

NOTE: Starting a poll can be tricky, so please read, and re-read that section several times before you start and create your first poll. After messing up the first time I tried to create a poll, I screen-printed that page on how to create a poll, then on my second try, by working my way through my screen-print line by line, I was able to successfully to do it. As I was able to create a poll, you can too.

I have not. All the comments I've seen is that the unit appeared to be tilted from delivery, but not noticed until after the thrill of the delivery was past. If that makes any sense? Do any of you get the feel that the HUD is loose and could move? I was under the impression from what I've read that it seemed to be anchored down pretty well. Can we get some pictures so we can compare a tilted unit to one that is thought to be level?

Thanks John,
I was under the impression only super moderators or administrators can start a poll.
