I am thrilled I came across this site. This is a great community with so many knowledgeable people about the Stingray. I am going to be pulling the trigger real soon on my first Vett. My buddies tell me I am having a mid-life crisis since I am turning 40 and want to buy a Stingray It's more like that they just cant afford one!

My friend has a Chevy Zl1 which is a Bad Ass machine in itself and I was leaning towards getting a 2014 ZL1 but I will spend the extra money and sit myself in a new Stingray. I am considering getting either the Stingray in Red Torch or Laguna blue and of course with the Z51 Performance Package. As far as the trim model a 1Lt is fine with me!

I am looking for a dealer out of state as well to give my business to as those in the Bay Area have about a 10k to 15k markup on the Stingray. So dealers don't be shy if you are not looking to bend me over to buy one

I promise when I do get one I will share all my experiences, mods and more with everyone here!

Welcome.. Yeah, I'm getting all that mid life crisis stuff from people too. Whaevs, I'll be having a blast in my new Laguna blue Z51 soon enough too. There's a couple of dealers that sell lots of corvettes and have allocations. They're mentioned on this site.

Stingray14: There are many dealers willing to sell at MSRP, and now, for the non Z-51 model, some starting to advertise below MSRP. Even with shipping, you will be far, far below MSRP +$10.

I was going to go with just the 1LT but my buddy for the last few weeks kept on telling me that I will regret it if I don't go with the Z51 Package so I decided to spend the extra money. I may have just gone with it so I don't have to hear his mouth in the future if decided not to get it. He does have the right to his opinion as he owns a 2013 ZL1 and a 2013 1LE and bleeds Chevy.

So after owning a number of Fords over the years I have officially joined the DARKSIDE!
