I'm looking at a 1977 coupe to purchase but I noticed it has the Stingray lettering on the front fender vice the crossed flags. Everything I read says the '77 didn't have this so I'm wondering what's up. Did any '77s, possibly some early production cars (this is in the first 2,000) still have the Stingray moniker on them?

From what I understand, some very early 77's came through with the key for the alarm system. I have seen a couple examples but I don't recall seeing the Stingray script there at all.
