Well, some of you may be like me; car is built, where the heck is it? My dealer was not helpful so I called Chevy. It has been sitting two weeks due to the storm! They won't send out any rail cars and they do not know when they will given the weather, so that explains that; just thought I'd just share in case you are in the same situation. Now I feel a sense of resolution.

My C7 was built sometime during the 1st week in January, #11715. I picked it up last Saturday in San Jose, CA. My dealer gave me updates during rail transport -- Nashville, Indiana, Iowa, .... Hopefully you will get yours soon.

ordered mine Jan. 3rd and was originally told 6-8 week delivery.....because of the weather the delivery date has move up to 12-15 weeks.....

Go see the sales manager after reading elegant's threads about ordering ......weather should not DOUBLE your order time....

Ask him to show you a copy of your OrderWorkbench document. It will have your order status on there. Sounds like your dealer hasn't received an allocation for your car. If they have an allocation, your order status will be 2000 or higher.

I learned the hard way, I am in southern California and ordered a new C7 on November 7th from a Dealer here that told me he has plenty of allocations and he is the biggest in So. Cal, I was in preliminary status order 1100 from 11-7-2013 to 1-25-2014. Last week I canceled my order got my deposit back and ordered a C7 from MacMulkin on the east coast and today my z51 is queued for production on the Chevy tracking site. Status code is 3000 I should have my car by the end of March I am hoping.

I ordered my Z51 from Mac Mulkin on Dec. 4 and the car was built on Jan 22. Would have been sooner as I told them I wanted del. in March. If you need a car I would highly recommend you give them a call. Super dealership. Rated #2 behind Kerbeck. Good luck.

I just found out that as of this morning, mine finally moved from BG on its way to Toledo. Is that where they inspect, does anyone know?
This may also lift some wait time for us on the west coast - they are currently moving.

Based on my experience, no inspection. Just ship from BG to Toledo. Load on a rail car and it'll meander its way to the west coast. The dealer will be able to print out your order and it will have the rail car number and the railroad company name. It is possible to call and find the location of the railcar. Mine took close to 3 weeks from Toledo to Kent, WA. I suspect SD is a somewhat more traveled route so I would bet closer to two weeks but you never know.
