Production continues to ramp up. A couple of recent signs of increased production pace:

A customer just received a VIN number of 2150.

A friend of mine who had been 3300 status three weeks ago, then returned to 3000 status the following week, just learned today that not only is he 3400 status, but that his car is expected to actually be produced next Monday. And yes, he has an exposed CF top.

I believe BGAP will be producing at a rate of 150 cars per day (or more) by the end of October, maybe sooner than that.

I agree and as I said last week I think things are really going to start to rock now..my order is flying thru the system (so far). But I always felt a non z51 order would move faster....

order date progression
9/10 - deal sealed via email with Rick
9/11 - GM workbench 1100 order received from Rick
9/17 - code 2000 - order accepted by Chev
9/18 - code 3000 - order accepted by Production
9/26 - code 3300 - order scheduled for production

Thanks very much. That's my situation, as you know, and it sure is good news.

Well, how quickly a mood can change. With the good news about your friend, I initiated an online chat with Chevy. After going around and around, the status reported by the rep was "Accepted by GM" and something to the effect of waiting for a target production week. Could I have gone from 3300 to 3000 to 2000? Contacts at the dealership are gonzo. I'd give my right tire for a decent contact and accurate information.

If only that were so. My chronology? Per an OrderWorkbench printout.

7/11 1100
7/22 2000
7/23 2500
9/13 3000
9/9 3100
9/10 3300

9/24 3000 A verbal update from my inventory mgr.

Today? After a very confusing online chat.

That's contrary to GM/Chevy bulletins but I had the same feeling. If they offered a body colored roof as an option, I'd probably take it.
The body colored roof is standard so I assume you mean if they offered to allow you to change the order to delete the exposed CF roof?

Correct-a-mundo. The inventory manager just called me to report that the dealer orders with the carbon roof and Z51 pkgs that were at 3300 are all back to 3000. Both of us surmise that, contrary to prior reports indicating 3000 order were safe, they are now subject to constraint. He says he has no way of getting an official word from Chevy but that's his supposition.
