After beign jerked around by one dealer, this forum got me in the right direction and I am now at 2000 with my z51 2tl! (Im not sure if i shout out the person who helped me, but they know who they are!)

So seeing that im at 2000, how liong should i expect until i get to drive this beast?

What did your dealer say when you asked them that question?

For me it was a 2 month journey. I placed my order 2/14 and I am now at status code 5000, picking her up on Thursday 4/17!

I am sure there is always some level of variation of timing for each order.

Ask your Dealer: How long will it take to rail/truck my order, from the factory (in Kentucky), to L.A.??? The build is one time frame, but the transportation might be another time frame.

In all honesty, your dealer will not know. It could vary widely, and is totally out of his control. Earlier this year, cars sat in the local depot almost 20 days waiting on trucks to take them the last 25 miles to the dealership. It was driving people out of their minds, but there was nothing the dealerships could do about it.

There are also some great threads already started about delivery times on the board. Some guys have done great timelines of their cars going thru the build codes. Ask your dealer on THAT part. The bigger dealers I think can make better educated guesses on your build timeline, presuming your car doesn't hit any constraints.

And then other posts are people specifically asking about shipment times to CA. However, as Rodney said, each delivery is different. Delays some experienced during the snowstorm from hell this Winter when some transport when offline wouldn't be the same issue for you now.

well i was at 2000 yesterday and now im "queued for production" acccording to chevys tracking website....so i think things are going well right?

This is my timeline: Ordered my NRBM Z51 2LT coupe, automatic, performance exhaust, dual red racing stripes, with non-standard Adrenalin Red interior from smaller MO dealer on Jan 22. Reached 3000 Queued for Production on Mar 24. Reached 3300 with Target Production Week (TPW) on Apr 3. Hoping for delivery mid-May, about a 4-month period.

you may be right, but then again who knows lol i have the z51 and you have the vert, last time i checked they both still under restraints so anything can happen. Heres to hping we get them at the exact same time, hopefully sooner rather than later hahaha

so from 3000 to delivered was still about 2 months... im leaving out of country in that time period so im wondering if my dealer will either hold the car or allow me to have someone pick it up for me
