I left my husband in the car when I went into the tag office yesterday. He was on his cell phone, so I left him in the car and went inside. The title clerk at Kerbeck had left Buick off the title paperwork but it was on the rest of the paperwork i.e. Kerbeck Cadillac, Chevrolet, Buick and GMC...she had already contacted Kerbeck and it was being taking care of but it would be tomorrow (today) So I walked back outside...to a very upset husband. When I walked away from the C7 with the fob it locked and he could not open it...he was not happy ;).
I showed him how to open the door if this happens again. Funny story, but make sure you tell your passangers how to get out of the car if this happens or leave the fob with them.

Call early this Morning from the tag office, Kerbeck overnighted, with early delivery, the corrected paperwork so I will take care of getting my tag this afternoon. Only pain is the main tag office is 45 minutes across town, so back we go this afternoon...I will make sure I leave him the fob if he stays in the car.

What does the passenger have to do to get out without a FOB present?
There is manual release on the floor next to the seat.

I hope you left the window cracked a bit.
Imagine the scene if it were summer, hot, and his cell phone battery had died (so he could not call her to come out and help him). He might have started blowing the horn for someone's attention to send in after her. People would think, "What is with the crazy man blowing the awesome Corvette's horn? It's not as if it needs any extra help to draw attention to itself. Sheesh." LOL :)

Window was not cracked it was in the 50's yesterday. He wanted to go with me so after we could go to Dreamland for their awesome ribs. He had a crown and water with him. I asked him why he didn't just call me....his answer..,I was on the phone (eye roll). He left work early to go with me and was returning calls. He also informed me an alarm was going off every so often. (Giggle). Probably did not help I laughed. And he knows where the extra keys/fobs are...at home in the desk. :)

Now that would be funny!

I can see it now husband pushes the OnStar button...

"This is OnStar how can I help you?"

"Yes my wife has locked me into our car and I can't get out"

OnStar "Can't you just unlock the doors?"

"I tried but it didn't work"

OnStar "How about just opening the door?""

"I can't do that"

OnStar "Why can't you open the door?"

"Because I can find the freaken door handle!"

OnStar "Can't you call someone?"

"No I can't my cell phone battery is dead"

OnStar "Sorry sir we can't help you, have a nice day"

Hey Grandsport. I made my husband a playlist for his phone. ELO, Heart, Moody Blues, Boston, Jethro Tull and Jimi Hendrix and signed him up for Pandora. He loves it. If I can teach him to do it anyone can.

Isn't it just easier to reach down and pull the door release on the floor?
