Hey guys!

After months of having no idea where I stood (since Aug) I finally got the email from my dealership stating a TPW Dec 30, 2013!

I've only put a deposit down haven't finalize any sort of payment details. I'm from Canada so went to GM.ca out of curiosity to see if there's any info.

Currently, from Nov 22 - Dec 9 they have a deal, on ANY 2014 chevy for 0% financing for up to 84 months!!! They literally call it the 0% everything event. There is even a lease possibility but I'm uncertain if that is for every model as well.

Here's what I'm worried about. Because I don't have my car yet, or a VIN I'm assuming, can I qualify for this deal in time? Will a dealership let me sign prior and get it going or is not possible because of the reasons in my last sentence. This is kind of a big financial deal to me, any knowledge on this topic from dealers or owners who have experience with sort of thing is greatly appreciate. I'm running out of time.

Thanks in advance,

zimm888

P.S. I just noticed fine print. "Offers valid for delivery dates between nob 22 and dec 9, 2013" Any way I can get out of that with some fighting words?

zimm888, sounds like you should talk with the GSM (general sales manager for new car purchases) at your dealer and see what he/she says. By the time your car comes up for paying, there maybe other deals applicable for your purchase.

I guess so, but this deal is good enough for me and probably can't be beat. I'll get in touch with him soon. This deal saves me several thousand. What do you think my odds are of getting it? Thanks jsvette

Sadly, the odds are somewhere between slim and none. Without an invoice from GM the dealer cannot finance the car, period and the deal expires long before your car will even be built.

X2...the incentive money is tripped via a program and automatically paid with an invoiced VIN that is then retailed via the dealer comm system to GM. There is no one to speak to on this....

We got ours the day after it was built, although that's only because our dealer e-mailed me a PDF of the Order Workbench showing 3800 Produced and listed the VIN.

I think it is only available with in stock cars. Something you definitely need to talk with them about though. On a side note my car is supposed to have the same TPW, we are going to have new years babies. Also who knows they may throw another promotion in during the new year?

Perhaps, who knows. My opinion the 0% is the best thing for me. No need to tie up a bunch of money in a down payment or pay interest. How could u beat that, besides buy one get one free lol. Already sucks can't use GM points on this car yet.

I just used my GM points on my C7. You should be able to.

Have a GM MasterCard, and with two Corvettes and my Cruze Eco (imagine that), have gotten $11,238 over the past 15 years reduced from my purchase costs ($1 for $1) thanks to my GM MasterCard.

Have about $1K credit already on it for my 2015 Z.

A TPW of 12/30/13? I thought the plant is shut down until around the 3rd of January?

My dealer told me I had a TPW of 12/30/13 as well. It would be good to know if they are really shut down that long if so our TPWs would not be accurate.

I guess they say 'target' production week for a reason lol. The promotion I'm talking about I just read on GM.ca wolverine22. I was told I wouldn't qualify in time and whenever my car is ready, that I would qualify for whatever is available during that time period only.

Well I hope they have a good promotion for you and me both when we take delivery of our children.

You do realize that TPW stands for target production WEEK? And while it is a target and could change, if it's built on 3 or 4 Jan, it's in TPW 12/30. I'm pretty sure that the guy assigning TPWs is well aware of when the factory is running or closed.
