Because I decided to wait until now to order my C7 due to my current deployment here to Afghanistan (I won't get home until March 2014), the dealer in Texas I was working with (great guy, btw) just informed me they no longer have any allocations. Realizing that the Z51 pkg is currently under constraints, I figured it was best to order now as opposed to waiting until I was 2 months out from returning stateside before ordering.

I suppose that since I'm opting for the museum delivery, it makes me no nevermind (sorry) from whom I order the car given the MSRP issue. Does anyone know of a dealer who has allocations left? If I don't order soon, I'm afraid I'll end up having to hold out for the 2015 (which really might not be a bad thing).

Any suggestions/recommendations would be greatly appreciated. ;)

Not yet, Greg. Kyl and I are discussing the way ahead as I type this. He's confident that even if I wait until January to order (since I'm not planning to be home until March), my C7 would arrive sometime in late March or early April. That's very different than the 5-6 month wait I'm hearing on these boards. So I'm in a real quandary here.

I think you will receive better or more accurate time line from certain people here regarding time frame of cars. However production will go faster and faster and I'm sure chevy will adjust the Z51 supplies to cover the volume of orders they are receiving. With that being said I think people will start order a lot more once they are seen out and about so it will be some time before orders are completed in the typical fashion, IMO.

I think you're right, Greg. Perhaps someone will chime in here soon and give me their spin on whether I should wait until January to order (again, I plan to redeploy back to Texas in March) which means it should only take 2 months to build and get delivered OR if I should seek another dealer who has an allocation and place an order with them now.

I'd wait, by then the factory will be cranking out 150 to 200 vehicles a day and there's a good chance Chevy will be offering incentives. Doesn't AAFES offer a car buying service? If they still do, you might want to try that route, could be some discounts/tax incentives involved.

Thanks for serving!

Rick Conti is the best! Just picked up my C7 from him today. He will be upfront and honest about the situation. Sorry you weren't able to get into the ordering sooner but I appreciate your service and want to thank you so much for all that you do. God Bless America! Hope you can get a Stingray soon!

That's completely my style though!!!

I think your choice of cyber, kal, and chrome looks great as well, it's just a completely different style.

Like I've said in other threads, it's great hope the C7 can look so different with the different black accents. IMO, other vettes are like this one and I feel there's more personality in the C7
