An emblem free rear end was not my goal anyway, but I thought I'd post photos of what the emblem inset looks like after you remove the cross flags emblem. The C7 has a belly button on it's rear end!

Jag, can you tell us how you removed it, i.e., the old dental floss, heat gun and "Goo Gone" way that Glen E described in his build, or an alternative method please?

Certainly!

1) Spray 3M Adhesive and Wax Remover along the top edge of the emblem. Wipe excess off with a microfiber rag. Let the adhesive remover soak for 5 minutes.

2) Find one of the three edges to slide dental floss under and begin "sawing" the dental floss through the adhesive.

3) Once you have completely "sawed" through the adhesive, the emblem comes right off.

4) Peel the remaining black adhesive backing off the surface of the car.

5) Spray 3M Adhesive Remover on the remaining adhesive residue and wipe off with a microfiber rag.

to add, don't let the adhesive remover remain on the clear coat too long ;)

Good point. I always wipe off the excess right after I spray it on. The only part left on the car at that point is what has penetrated the leading edge of the adhesive.

Jag,

Your Carbon Flash emblems look great. Where did you get yours and did they come with new adhesive? Thanks.

Here's an update since my how to on debadging..this stuff works great and allows you to "saw" quickly - all of $7 at a sporting goods store...use with gloves or Popsicle sticks to create a saw, it will cut flesh....goes thru badge sticky in seconds...
