Had a long conversation with my State Farm Agent (fellow Corvetter). She said that StingRay rates for me would be less than my current car by $14.35/month compared to my current car 2006 Z06. Asked her twice, for this means that if I were to replace my current Corvette (worth approx. $35K), with a brand new 2015 StingRay which cost me $70K, my rates would go down by $14.35/month. She again said, "yes." Very impressive.
She also made it clear that that that specific rate differential would not hold true when I get my 2015 Z06, and, that State Farm will not insure, for the Z06, everyone they currently insure -- that the Z06 will fall into a special class due to its extreme power and performance, i.e., State Farm will insure the new Z06 on a "case by case basis." She added, that for folks who had great driving records, that while Z06 rates have not obviously been finalized, I will be very happy with my rate for it.
