So I've had my C7 since April , the insurance for the C7 didn't seem to much more than my SRT8 or my 2013 mustang GT so i didn't think it was to bad. All of a sudden this past month i had my renewal and OMG the premium for the vette jumped almost $300+ I couldn't believe so i called my insurance company who i been with for over 15 years and i have had 0 accidents and 0 tickets with. They tell me that the insurance for the vette was not calculated correctly and this was a country wide hike in price and not just a new york thing.

So anyone recently seen a huge price increase in their premium for their C7 vette ? This is just stupid, this jumped in cost was almost 1/3 of total premium.

Yeah.... 0 Accidents and tickets here the past 10 years. I was quoted a $50 dollar higher premium than my 2010 Mustang GT. After I accepted the quote, the premium did not go up 50 dollars..... it doubled! I had to call up Geico to lower my premium back down $300.00. They told me that it went up higher than expected because I had the 2LT and they calculated for the 1LT! Hah.... right.

All, don't forget to factor in the deductible. An important piece to the rate.

My deductible hasn't changed since the other 2 cars i spoke about, I have very good coverage and didn't change a thing other than remove an extra car i had and this up charge has made my payment $40 more a month than having that extra car on there.

I don't have the car yet....but did call my State Farm agent for a quick quote. I've been with them for.....too many years to remember
Homeowners, bikes, cars all bundled...

$822 / year with $500 deductible and the same high limits I've had on all my other policies.
That could conceivably go down, but it didn't seem unreasonable considering how expensive a parking lot tap could be...

That's bull. I just bought a new 2014 Stingray and my insurance with USAA went up only $9/mos or $108. Also Allstate has great deals I may change later for other insurances. Hope this helps....shop around ..good luck

Wow, I should shop my portfolio around. I'm seeing some great rates!!
Certainly shop your rates but don't be surprised if you can't get the same numbers you see here since rates vary zip code to zip code. The sub $200 / 6 month rates aren't gonna be seen in most states regardless your age or driving record. Hell, my Uninsured motorist coverage is $160 / 6 months before you add liability, comp and collision. Costs me $320 / year because our state can't crack down on uninsured and illegal drivers, has absolutely nothing to do with me or my driving record and I won't drive without it.
