Today I was trying out the intrusion sensor. I locked the vehicle, leaving the drivers window down. After giving the alarm a couple of moments to set up, I stuck my arm into the open window. The alarm went off as it was supposed to do. The system seemed to be working as planned.
I then took the top off, closed the doors, and locked the car. After giving the alarm a few moments to set up, I stuck my arm into the vehicle, but the intrusion alarm did not go off. Does this system not work with the top off? Don't know if anyone else has tested their system. Just curious why it does not work with the top off. Thanks for any info about the system.
