I successfully paired my brand spankin' new iphone 6 to the mylink system. Listened to some tunes. All good. Then a buddy called me and it became clear that at least using the base configuration, the iphone 6 will not pass phone calls to my car. I've only spent about five minutes trying to troubleshoot it. But in doing so found that it rendered my home button completely un-responsive. I realize it's day #1 for the iphone 6 and am sure a fix will be posted. But am wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem and or has a solution. Even after powering the car off and deleting the device the home button is not working! Wow.

I work with computers every day and am extremely familiar with bluetooth. This is a first for me. Looks like I'll probably go back to the iphone 5!

Yep. Upgraded to iOS 8 on the five earlier this week and used it every day since in my car. Will try and delete device in mylink and forget device on iPhone. Then try and re-pair them and see if the issue persists.

I have a 5S and upgraded to iOS 8 and found that the calls worked but the siri and any other sounds were weak so I simply re linked it and all is well now.

snagged one of (8) 6+'s unsold at my local apple store overnight - for those of you that are waiting, most every store is getting a small amount in overnight, unspoken for...Just go on the apple site and look for your local store availability, - the trick is they are all avail from 2 am thru 5 am before they get sold. I walked into the store this morning at 9:15 with the pick up paperwork and was back out in 10 min....no waiting

works fine in the C7...all functions.....

Glen - what do you think of the 6 plus for day-to-day use? It looked huge to me in the verizon store today.... seems like the regular 6 would meet the needs of most people.

I did a number of different things at once and it fixed the problem. If anyone is having the same or similar issues, I'd give this a try! It would appear from searching google that this is a fairly widespread issue that effects Nissan, Honda, and BMW owners randomly as well.

What I did:

1. Under Settings->About->Name I renamed my new iphone to be different from the previous (If you do itunes restore to get your music and apps back, it appears to rename your new phone to be the same)
2. Deleted the device from the car Mylink system in bluetooth settings.
3. Went into bluetooth settings on iphone 6 and selected forget this device to chevrolet mylink.
4. Did a hard reboot (hold down both power and home buttons until it reboots) on the iphone 6.
5. Re-paired the phone to the system.

A couple of observations after spending a few minutes with the iPhone 6 and the C7.

1. As mentioned above, before you pair make sure to delete the old phone. 90% of us will simply restore their data onto the new phone and keep the same name and that will cause ANY bluetooth connection to fail, the host name no longer matches the Bluetooth MAC address.
2. Phone functions over Bluetooth work as before, not issues discovered.
3. Bluetooth audio streaming DOES NOT recognize the iPhone 6 as a music device. It will, however, stream music but lacks all iPod controls.
4. USB connected it is recognized and allows for all the browse functions to select playlists, etc.
5. While USB connected and playing music the Bluetooth phone connection works fine until you hang up the call. More times than not I had to hit pause then play to get the misuc to continue playing after the call is complete. At least the system now pauses the playback but it fails to restart it after a call is complete much of the time.

NOTE: I never spent much time playing with this on my iPhone 5 so this may be the way that one worked as well. I also did not try Pandora streaming.

yup - I have had #3 happen also....the apple forums are saying they know about this and will get it straightened out in the updates coming...Porsche and BMW cars reporting same...

BTW, no go with the 6+ in the cubby:
