What's up Corvette family. I'm down south in N.O.L.A and my dealer called me today and told me that the Z51 has been discontinued and I was going put my order in on Saturday. Just want to know what I can do. I really want this car and have waited long enough. Finally I get everything I need and I get this terrible news.

Let me put this politely... What your dealer told you is ridiculously wrong. (You can imagine what I really want to write here.) You can order a Z-51 from several dealers this week and have it in May, and it would be equipped exactly as you want it to be.

Start, please buy reading this entire thread, then PM me and I will outline how you can get from "nowhere" -- the land of totally erroneous information where your dealer left you, to getting your car.

Yea my dealer kept telling me there were no Z51's being built. So I called a bigger dealer in the area and told me they have Z51 allocation for me and can have it in a month. So I cancelled my order and getting my deposit back and putting my order with the bigger dealer.

I heard a rumor that the Z51 constraint is about to be lifted within the next two weeks. I don't see how anyone would know this unless they are in-the-know at the factory. So, I have a hard time believing this, but will throw it out there anyway for your teeth gnashing pleasure. By the way, last week 50% of the Corvettes being ordered could be for Z51.

I would highly recommend Mac Mulkin in Nashua NH. Odered a Z51 on Dec. 4 and i should get del. in two weeks.#2 Corvette dealer in the US. Great bunch of guys. Good luck.

When I said discontinued I just ment until further notice. Not permanently. They said they had to catch up the supply b/c they were so far behind due to the high demand for the car.

That was true 3 months ago. Very old news. Currently ~50% of new production will be Z51 if dealers order them. At least that is what the last few constraint reports have said.

Not sure which dealer in LA you visited but Ross Downing in Hammond has been great to deal with( at least my experience)

3 weeks after ordering a BLK 2LT Z51 on Dec. 28, I was told by more than one dealer that the car would be made as a '15 model. This is what Chevy customer service told me after I contacted them for more information.

"First, we would like to apologize for any frustration that is caused in this situation. The Corvette Stingray with the Z51 Performance Package does have a constraint on the package. We are able to advise that production may begin at the end of February of this year. Please be aware that all dates are subjected to change. The new vehicle sales manager at your selling Chevrolet dealership is in the best position to advise when the 2014 Corvette Stingray with the Z51 package begins production or for any changes."

I found BLK 3LT 7spd with Transparent roof. Vin #0261. and drove it home. Couldn't find a Z51 7speed in any color I liked. I kept my ZO6, so I think this car was a better choice.

Well seeing it's only Feb and the 2014 last build date has been pushed out until Aug 8th leaves 6 months to continue to build 2014's. Plenty of time to build more Z51 models constraint or not.

Exactly! Z51 constraint has been holding at 50% so expect more than 7000 Z51's to hit the road before the 2015 switchover.

I live near Mobile, ordered my C7 Z51 from Kerbeck, direct flight into Nashville on Southwest, picked her up from the Museum. Order from one of the forum dealers and pick up at the museum.

My dealer still has two allocations, and I am in Lousiana, send me a PM, my order went in on 1/24, and I have a TPW of 2/24. He'll order whatever you want.
