Judging by internet posts, more than a few folks are wondering whether "Shark Gray," or TSG if you wish, is a vibrant, sparkly, alive color? Or, is it more like a "washed out gray?" One poster, "LOVES IT," while several, including folks who saw it in person at the Toronto Auto Show, are saying it looks like "primer gray."
Have almost 100 TSG pictures. About half show it as a very exciting color! However, in 1/3 of the pictures, TSG looks as if its needing more pop, that it is somewhat lifeless, more like a "faded" gray. The remaining 1/6 show it as a "tweener" -- between both extremes.
Most of the pictures that show it as a fantastic color, with lots of sparkle, were taken indoors, and most of these present it as a pretty dark gray, some almost as dark as Cyber Gray -- a color that many love. Yet, we know it is a far lighter color than Cyber Gray from the following picture -- which shows TSG in the foreground, CG in the background.
Disproportionately, many of the pictures which show it as being an "over-exposed, washed out" gray," were taken in direct sunlight. However, even some pictures present it as "needing life," were taken indoors. Most Corvettes are in the sun when being driven, and thus, several considering ordering that color for their 2015 Corvette, need reassurance that it will not look like it does in the following three pictures when in the sun.
We all hope that, even in direct sunlight, that it looks as beautiful, as alive, and as excitingly vibrant as it does in the following three pictures (and that all concerns are based on over-exposed, or "color tone erroneous" pictures)!
I know that one of our forum members who has seen it in person, posted that he and his wife really like it, in fact they like it better than both Blade Silver and Cyber Gray. We would all love to see Tiger Shark Gray outside, and come to the identical conclusion, to have it look as great as in this "tweener picture" -- even in direct sunlight.
Will the real Tiger Shark Gray please stand up?
