For sh*ts and grins, stopped by the dealer as I frequently do (Kuerig coffee) to bs with the service manager and techs. Had them plug in the OBDII just to see if any codes appeared, low and behold, the following popped up. Now no codes were ever shown on the cars DIC. Very enlightening, since the tech was busy, there wasn't any time to go over each code, just kind of did this as a favor.

Everything is running fine, no codes showing, everything works to my knowledge.

Codes on printout.

B285A-4B
P26C8-00
P12E3-00
P12E7-00
P12EB-00
P12F4-00
P12F8-00
P26C5-00

Was wondering if anyone can decipher those, thanks.

I saw P26C8-00 mentioned somewhere - I think it was NPP exhaust valve stuck, but it usually unsticks and clears the code.

I googled B285A-4B and saw mention of the steering column position.

Try googling them... I got a few hits.

I googled 'Corvette C7 OBD codes' and found a list of GMC codes 31 pages long...

first code is addressed in gm bulletin pic5944a and is a software fault in the memory seat module, the remainder are all exhaust flow control codes. The dtc set at key off. Software upgrade coming soon as per gm, latest update was in feb however, repair should be attempted for these codes. Exhaust control module dtc can also bet set by battery going dead w/ign in acc or on position. Nothing to be concerned about.

Thanks for the head's up. No problem with the seats. I can guess the exhaust codes are a result of me pulling the fuses (32 & 41) experimenting with the exhaust notes. Both are back in, and will stay in. Thanks again.

I am a P.E., and also a master corvette master tech for over 20 years.

Excellent addition to the forum!!!!!! We need more like you.

Most stored codes that do not show on the DIC are minor faults. Emissions, misfires, trans slippage, ABS/active handling, etc. are examples of codes that need prompt attention and will trigger a DIC message. If all codes triggered a CEL you would be at the dealer every week!

VAVETTEMASTER, would like to have some PM dialog with you on findings and issues. PM me if your game.

Welcome aboard!
