Ahhhh.... Finally Corvettes @ Carlisle is upon us.
When we lived in Rochester, New York we would attend every year. Moved down here to Florida and have only been once (2005) with our '98 Pace Car.

But now that we have our 2014 Stingray it's time to make the trip again! ;)

So.... reason for the thread >>>> WHO on the Forum is going?

Let's "meet & greet"!

Hey Tom...
We are getting there Thursday night and staying until Sunday. We will be coming from Bethlehem, PA, where we are staying seeing friends, a few days prior. I guess that is about 2 hours away as well.
I'll PM you with my cell, so you can text and maybe we can meet up.

Rolling in on Sunday with the NJ Caravan.
Ragtop....
Be aware that Sunday is usually pretty much a shut-down. We've been there for many years and most of the vendors start packing up on Saturday night and vacate by Sunday at noon.
Just want to give you a 'heads-up' that there may not be much going on on Sunday.

Mark, what are the dates and main events? Will any of the aftermarket parts vendors be installing what they sell?

Thanks for info Mark. We will only be there for a couple of hours anyhow. We roll in sometime around 10 or 11, as it is a waypoint on our trip to BG.
Ragtop...
You should be OK that early. Should still be a lot of stuff around. They may even let you in for nothing, but don't quote me on that, because we get the full week passes. I know they do in the mid-afternoon on Sundays.
I know one thing.... the prices on stuff are really reduced on Sunday!:) Vendors do not want to bring stuff back with them.

Rick....
Gates open on Thursday August 21st. That is set up day, but open to all. Then the show runs until Sunday 8/24 with the big 500+ Corvette parade on Saturday afternoon at around 5. Vendors??? TONS!! A lot of them with 18-wheel haulers. Installs done right on the spot. Even Dyno testing.... which always sounds awesome!
Hotels are scarce in Carlisle, most people who decide to go now end up staying in Harrisburg, about 20 minutes away, but not a bad drive.
Here is the link to read all about it:

Living in VA always try to make a caravan of it with the Star City Corvette Club. We typically have a tent set up near the main entrance. Look us up! Arriving mid morning Friday, leaving Sunday morning. Love to meet some of you guys! Just ask for Larry the tire man!

Hey Tireman!
We'll shoot for a little get together sometime on Saturday. Maybe at the Star City Corvette Club tent. You said "Main Entrance".... better yet, what is the Gate #?

Let's see how many Forum members we rustle up.

Funny you should mention this Mark, as I just booked at the Harrisburg Hilton for Saturday night!
Stayed there before on biz, and not only is it a pretty decent place, it has indoor self parking!
Let me know what you decide to do and I'll definitely stop by....

I live only 90 miles South of Carlisle and I plan on being there both Friday and Saturday.
I usually get there at 7am.

We are new to the corvette community and corvettes at Carlisle. We are planning on coming as we only live a little over 2 hrs away. Have to figure out where to stay, etc.

Who wants to coordinate a Saturday meeting? I think it would be fun.
Not a bad idea. But I have already signed up for the Parade which starts at 7. Usually lasts quite a while. But where the parade stops, they normally have the streets closed and have a band playing. That might be a good meeting spot. Or we could meet up at the Fairgrounds, before we have to line-up for the Parade.

Let's kick around some ideas.
