My torch red Z51 is being delivered as I type this, but I can't pick it up until Saturday! Can't wait to see it. Unfortunately the dealer has tomorrow off so I have to wait an extra day.

It will be nice to finally be able to get a hold of it after all the price protection drama I had to go through to close the deal.

It's here!!! Just got home. I've been driving around my city for the last hour and at nearly every intersection there's dudes craning to look over or kids with their camera phones out. Getting hollers and thumbs up too! What a crazy feeling.

Here's it is!

This thing drives like any other car with 20% pedal in, and under 2.5k RPMs, other than the v8 rumble it's pretty well behaved. After 30% and 3k in it starts howling at you like a mad animal. How am I supposed to keep it under 4k for the first 500.. LAME!

Congrats joshg, beautiful car! Yep, I guess it's 1500 miles, where the car finally officially becomes driveable. They don't really mention that, you find it out as you go. But it might not be a great idea to have too much fun w/her till 1500, it's almost painful like an arch cramp or something.

Is your interior brown? Brownstone? On another note, you might want to consider GM splashguards. There is some expense but I got all 4 & put them on myself mille1 & zero rock damage yet at 1100 miles. It'll pay for itself.
