My Corvette has 600 miles on it and the leather is pulling away from the back of the seat. The dealership has ordered a new seat cover and they will be sending it out to be installed on Tuesday.
**Update - Had the seat fixed the other day at my local dealership. They sent it out to a local upholstery shop. Same day service and the car looks as good as new... Pretty happy with the job and I am very picky. Had my doubts about getting the seat repaired, but so far all worked out well.
I had the same issue at 10K miles on the passenger side, lower part of bolster . My dealer took it to an upholstery shop and it was fixed in minutes. He told me he had to heat the leather a little to stretch it. Looks like new!
Just found my drivers seat on my '14 Z51 3LT, 5,000 miles, with the side bolster out of its groove. Stopped by the dealer and they indicated that the seat cover must be replaced. Hope it is covered under the mfr warranty.
Never had any problems with my C6 seats. Hope this is not the start of a lot of problems.
Welcome to our forum rkweber! It should be covered under warranty and no reason to presume it is "the start of a lot of problems. " Lots and lots of C7s out there with no real issues.
Happened to my drivers side, dealer had me take it to the local upholstery shop thats been around for 30 years with very good reputation to see if it could be fixed, they fixed it in 5 mins, if it happens again i will have them replace it. been about three weeks holding up fine!
