Arrived home at 9 CST, which was 8 hour drive, we stopped in Birmingham, ate dinner and filled her up. Left the museum around 12:45 drove over to the factory and snapped a couple photos...Per Dan (yes he is wonderful) I drove 60 to 65 to the Kentucky/Tennessee line, then 70 to 75 through Tennessee (a little slower through Nashville) then 75 to 80 once I hit Alabama, well a little faster a few times...once we were south of Nashville we did not see ice or snow on the sides of the roads. Will write a little more tomorrow and post a few photos. I LOVE THIS CAR!!!!

Love It!!
How hard is it to remove the grill???
It is held by clips. If you break one just glue it back.

OMG this one kid this morning when we were eating brunch at Callahan's he was joking and I knew he was joking but this afternoon I went into O'Relly's and this 20 something year old kid working in the store, said "I know you are going to let me drive that car" ummmm "No" he said "why not" I said "my husband has not even driven my car yet" he said "so" by this time I had the micro-fiber towels I went in for and was heading the the register and he keeps on and on, so I say "listen, I do not know you, do not know your driving history, your insurance status, or how you drive, it is not going to happen" he says well then can I ride in it....I said not today (over ever I was thinking) then he says "well if you are not going to let me drive or ride I'm not selling you anything" I freaking left...went to Auto Zone...wondering if I should call the manager tomorrow
First off, great looking car!! Second, the next time someone wants to drive your car, tell them there is a $70,000 cash security deposit before they can get in the driver's seat!!! I'll bet that will stop all requests. Third, definitely tell the manager, there is no excuse for his behavior.

Finally, bring it up to Virginia for the Corvettes for the Vets show Memorial weekend (Sunday) at the Williamsburg Winery. I'll be posting more details soon. Hope to see you there.

Next steps are the black cross flags that Showstopper accessories have produced. Black lug nuts, and carbon flash stingray(s) and corvette lettering. And voila, one hot ride!!!

Definitely getting rid of the chrome....as much as I love it on the 75 C3, I hate it on the Stingray! Few other mods are going to happen in the next few weeks!
Hot pics BTW. The car's not bad either!:D

That is the first mod I would do if I had one arrive on my doorstep. It looks great without the retainer.--Bob

That is what I called it the retainer...It is funny that on my C3 I want chrome, chrome, chrome with the C7 on a quest in the next few months to get rid of the chrome. Also would like a few other mods too! Time and money, time and money...and my husband's fear I will do something to void the warranty...sigh.
The tune from Pfadt Racing was worth every penny!
Hey Lipstic, I saw you had your car delivered at the museum. Did they give you the car cover? How did the car look when you picked it up? Was the PDI good?
You don't want the car cover. They will be doing you a big favor if they dispose of it for you.
Agreed. That shipping cover is a scuff machine!
I was thinking it would be better than nothing to keep dust off. No? I've read others that want to keep it...is that just for the sake of having it?
I had them throw mine away.

She is snuggled in the garage. Taking the Infiniti FX tomorrow, my Mom is in the hospital so I have to make my way there.
