My wife lost the Corvette key fob on her key chain. I was expecting to pay $150 or more to replace it, but I was pleasantly surprised to find one for $61 @ gmpartsdirect.

They have the one for the vert/auto as well for a few bucks more.

The design of our keys, IMO, really sucks. Hanging the fob by a thin plastic "click tab" that attaches to the key and that can easily be pressed accidentally is a horrible idea. I hope that GM changes this in the future.

That's a very good price. If your button is one of the easy/lose ones, you can put a beefier spring in it.

One of the first things I purchased was a rubber fob cover from Amazon, it fits great and prevents accidental release of the spring. It also helps to keep snug in your pocket, as well as protection from drops.

Unfortunately it looks to be no longer available, but just to get you an idea:
