Last year, Reverse Logic introduced a female threaded lug guide tool with an M12x1.25 thread. This is the thread size used on Nissan GT-R and 370Z cars. At the request of some C7 owners with ceramic rotors, we just started offering the same tool with an M12x1.5 thread which fits Corvette wheel studs. The tools effectively extend the length of two or three studs while installing or removing wheels. Using the tools helps prevent damage to the calipers and rotors.

The nominal diameter of the tool at the threaded end is 14mm. As it turns out the holes in automotive wheels are a nominal 15mm for cars with both M12 and M14 studs. In the case of the Corvette wheels the hole is > 15mm.

This type of tool is only feasible for cars with M12 studs. There is not enough room for the tool on a car with M14 studs.

Thanks for allowing me to brag about this made in the USA tool! Used them today to remove and reinstall my wheels. While the Z06's wheels are big, wide, deeeeep, and heavy, using two of the lug bolt guide tools for the process saved my car's wheel studs, made it close to impossible to chip my calipers (worked perfectly), and saved my back! Great tools. I bought two and put them in roughly at the 10:00 and 2:00 wheel positions. Worked superbly, and IMHO, think two is the perfect number. They ride in WRP SPD in its cargo deck cubby, along with Reverse Logic's pucks.
