You can ask the owner if possible, if not and you have a good relationship with your Chevy dealer service tech, you could have them run the VIN and let you know of any problems the car has had. That is what I did before I purchased my 2018.

That is what I did before I purchased my 2018.Gonna look at the car Sunday. I gotta wonder if the A8 has ever had the shudder or the fluid change.
My 2015 had the shudder that showed up at 30,000miles. It was because GM originally used a tranny fluid that absorbed moisture. After posting about the issue in this forum I was made aware of the problem and took the car to the Dealer who confirmed it had been an issue. They flushed it 3 times with the latest and greatest fluid and the tranny never felt better.I will make sure they run a check. I don't think anyone really knows if there ever was a true fix for shudder. Still scares me.
Congratulations! Enjoy itSeems they did in 2018. They have serviced this car for years and seems to be one of them freak cars that never seemed to have any probs. It is now mine. I sure notice more brake dust with this Z51 over my non Z51's.
I agree! Have dealer do a preemptive triple flush. Our ‘15 Z51 had the shudder issue at 12K miles (original double flush with original fluid under warranty) and again this spring had the shudder and had to pay $789 for a triple flush. Car runs better than ever now, very smooth acceleration and no hard clunking between gear shifts. We are keeping our fingers crossed this will fix the issue! I love our Z51!!!! Hope you do too!Tell dealer U won't buy it unless They do GM Recommend Triple Flush. My 15 Z51 had Shudder at 12k Miles , Did Triple Flush Myself and now Drives like a different car . Good Luck!
