Application. This AFE Cold Air Intake System is specifically designed to fit the 2014 V8 Corvettes with the LT1 V8 engine. No tune is required.

aFe is introducing the all new Momentum sealed cold air intake system for the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette (C7) with the V8-6.2L engine. This all new Momentum intake system resulted in 18 horsepower and 22 lbs. x ft. torque and outflows the factory intake by 42%. This system is superior in every way, from the one-piece sealed housing, to the massive air filter, roto-molded tube w/ built-in resonance chamber and premium hardware. This system uses a CAD designed, dyno-tuned, roto-molded intake tube & housing to achieve maximum power gains while maintaining a perfect fit. This is a direct bolt-on kit and requires no cutting or drilling on OEM parts.

Unique One-Piece Housing w/ Sight Window:
The one-piece sealed housing is used to eliminate the use of multiple components and ensure the coolest air intake charge available. A large clear sight window allows for filter inspection without removal of the air box. The roto-molded housing is made out of black cross-linked polyethylene and mounts directly into the factory location on the fender well to capture the coolest air available from the factory intake tract.

Roto-molded Tube:
This system uses a CAD designed, dyno-tuned, roto-molded intake tube to achieve maximum power gains while maintaining a perfect fit. This tube has a built-in resonance chamber to catch un-wanted air intake noises. Two billet aluminum fittings are mounted on the tube to provide a perfect connection with the factory vacuum lines.

Massive Cone Air Filter:
This Momentum intake system was designed around the largest filter possible to allow maximum performance and filtration. This cone filter has a massive 7" oval flange and is 9-1/2" tall Pro 5R filter media. The Pro 5R performance air filter features 5-layers of progressively finer mesh cotton gauze oiled media and is constructed with 100% polyurethane frame for long life and multiple cleaning cycles.

Premium Hardware:

Premium stainless steel T-bolt clamps and a reinforced silicone hump coupler are used for strength and durability while also providing the most secure installation available. Momentum intakes are designed with fewer parts for a quick and simple installation.

Proven Results:
After a rigorous design and testing phase, the results are in. The Momentum air intake system outflowed the factory intake by 42% and resulted in 18 additional horsepower and 22 lbs. x ft. torque.

Is 18 hp 22 torque realistic for simply a switch to a CAI? Seems like quite a bit. Where do these gains occur? Once someone buys one let us know if the resonance chamber claims are true, no CAI noises is a huge selling point for me. Can't wait to hear reviews!

Any chance of posting before and after dyno run sheets?
What other modifications were done on the test engine?
Tests run on the same day with the same atmospheric conditions?

They copied the design off of Halltech but theirs looks like it is half the quality of Halltech. I am happy that I went with Halltech. My gains were amazing.

No, it's not realistic and rather naive to think the factory would leave that much on the table when HP ratings are critical to marketing and sales. Chassis dyno's are fine but line up 2 cars side by side and run them around a track and see if the CAI car is faster. If it isn't then there is no significant increase.

The thing is, the factory system is a CAI. I'm sorry but I just don't buy the improvements claimed by these CAI makers. Sure, on an application without cold air induction adding a CAI may have a significant effect, especially in combating heat soak but I would argue that swapping out to a low restriction filter in the factory enclosure will net you very very similar results.
