Hey there! I am the proud new owner of a 2014 Z51 Torch Red C7 and probably have the coolest story of how I got it. My dad and I have been working together in real estate for over 6 years. Back in February he decided to get a Corvette and so we looked online and built a custom one. I was excited for him and excited to be able to drive it now and then, calling it a "company" vehicle. A couple months ago, he chose a museum delivery and so him, my brother, and myself all flew up there last week to tour the plant and pick up the car with the idea of him flying back and my brother and I getting to drive it back. Tour the plant, (which was awesome) and decided to look at the car before the museum tour. Walk up to the car, it was the 3rd one down the row, and the sign in front of it had my name on it, Love, Dad. Felt like I stood there for an hour before it registered with me. But there it was, the car we built. After tears and hugs and driving it back to Texas, it still seems very surreal. Could not be more blessed and feel very humbled by it, but she's in my garage and man is she beautiful. Look forward to this forum and helping each other out with any issues that may arise!

It's 6:30 in the morning, I'm having my coffee, read your story and got all teary eyed.
Do you need a hug? ;)

Seriously though, great story.

Please, Andrew, take the time to learn and appreciate the performance of the car - drive safely within your limits until those limits expand to meet the capabilities of your Corvette! (I have the impression that you are relatively young and that this may be your first exposure to a car of this class - if I've misinterpreted that, please accept my apology)

I have no issue with that my friend. Trust me, I was crying when it happened lol. It was a very emotional/exciting experience.

Thank you for the advice! I am 28 years old and yes, still young. However I bought a used 2008 BMW 335i a few years ago and enjoyed it tremendously. Had to get rid after 9 months because of too many speeding tickets (sign of my youth lol) The fastest car I had previously driven was my father's 2006 Mercedes S65. Twin-Turbo V12! However, this C7 is quicker and more agile. I am truly amazed by the technology offered in the C7 with the ability to customize every little detail. She has my utmost respect and am still bonding with her to get that true understanding of what she can do. Any advice is truly appreciated! Hope everyone has a blessed day!
