Hey all, being that so many on here are loving CQuartz Finest (for many obvious reasons!) i just wanted to share a short video i just finished putting together - documenting a lot of the prep work that professional detailers put into a car before applying that icing on the cake (CQ Finest). There is a very nice slow walk around of a black C7 towards the end of the video which i think you all will enjoy :).

Hope you like the video and can spare 2 minutes to check it out. If you like it, please share it with your friends!

very nice Wills - people don't understand the bulk of what they are paying for, is what happens BEFORE the CQ goes on....

(2nd time I tried, it hung up...)
You my friend have got that right! If CQ Finest is a supercharger for your paint, all the paint polishing and other prep work is the total motor overhaul/rebuild and tuning. Once you've seen it for yourself though, you can never go back to the "Oh ill just wash it and put a coat of wax on it" attitude lol. Thanks for taking a look :)

This is the DIY CquartzUK that is 9 months old...still amazing finish with a weekly DG rinseless wash and DG aquawax as a drying agent...It still looks like glass, I don't think I'll ever deviate from this regimen, I'm done with RELOAD. CQ is amazing, if you've done the prep (I spent 20+ hours to wetsand and polish before the CQ)

Just got this info from the detailer who is on schedule to do my Z06 (one highly recommended by [email protected] and several friends, including "Buzz" on our forum). If you live in Oregon, PM me for more info on this detailer. Here's the really important news:

I have some great news for you too. Just released at SEMA in Vegas: CQuartz FINEST v6. The best, most exclusive coating on the market is now thicker, glossier, and more scratch resistant than ever!

I also have a new ceramic windshield coating (same manufacturer as CQuartz) that is hydrophobic and protects the glass against wiper etching with 2 year durability.
This is what will be going on my Z.

Just my opinion, you may want to wait a little till it proves itself. THey have had problems with their reload 2014 version, and have re-re-formulated it as far as what I've heard on the detail boards

Well for what its worth, we've used the new V6 on two cars now since its release (one of which was a C7 we just did Monday). Having done LOT of Finest installs, this version gets a huge thumbs up from me. From an installers stand point, application was much much easier, slickness and gloss was on point as usual (seemed even more glossy to me, but could have been in my head or perhaps because we are using an infrared light to cure the coating now).

So if there were any issues, I'm sure it would have shown over the course of applying a total of 4 coats of Finest between these two cars. We also did a SS Camaro a few months back and coated a panel with our sample of V6...and again..all was fine. Trust me, if there were an issue I'd be the first to speak up...Opti-Coat was a total pain in the you know what to apply for quite a while and we were very vocal about it to Optimum first, and then publicly because Optimum ranked a big 0 on a scale of 100 in terms of customer service.

What sets Finest apart isn't just what a great product it is, but also how experienced and professional the INSTALLERS are. "The suit doesn't make the man" would apply in the case of this. Yes Finest is a $5,000 suit, but the men/women installing it know their stuff...so you are in good hands all the way around. We wouldn't be using a product that is backed by a 2 year warranty if it didn't hold up...that would be a LOT of labor on our part to have to redo several vehicles because the product was not up to snuff.

Is that what this runs - 5k?

Lol no. It was only a parable. Typically its around $500 for the coating application. Depending upon the vehicle of course. The prep needed is a separate charge. Thought the coating will make your ride look like a 5k..or higher, paint job.
Ok I was about to say lol!! Love what it does for the car!!

So is it possible that maybe some "batches of fabric" weren't woven perfectly , and it's not the "tailor"?

Great video documenting lots of the steps and hard work to make the paint pop. Price is typically in the less than $1,000 range, sometimes much less than that, depending primarily how much paint correction the detailer is required to do before the CQ is applied!

Hey guys,

My goal is to end up with a C7, but having purchased a '13 GS a couple of years ago, I need to wait a while longer. In the mean time, I just completed a two day run to Phoenix to have Wills and his sister give my C6 the CQF treatment. Despite the car being a fair weather "garage queen", the CQF finish made a heck of a difference. It convinces me that putting this on my future C7 is just as "necessary" as a 3M bra, crystalline tinting and, of course, an Escort 9500ci. I'll post before/after pictures in a few days.

P.S. That "$5,000 suit" comes in closer to $1K than $2K, depending on current paint/finish condition.

As promised, last three are "before" pics with swirls (despite our best intentions). First four are after Wills did his magic with CQF.

Glad you were happy with her Jim :). We appreciate you traveling to us to get everything done and you can bet if (when!) you get that C7 we will lay it out for you as well.
