Here in southwest Florida it was 83 degrees today.... just 3 degrees short of a record high!:)

Cruisin' all day today with the shades on and the Stingray's "lid" off!

I apologize for rubbing it in but it sure is sw-e-e-e-e-t. Those of you with your C7's in winter storage already, just think.... spring is only 4 months away!

Retirement in Florida..... N-i-c-e!

Used to live there till they all but ended the space program. Enjoy the winter since you'll pay for it soon enough with heat, humidity, love bugs, mosquitos, and 6 months of hurricane season. High of 30 deg today with a little snow coming. Tomorrow morning is supposed to be freezing drizzle - I bet that ought to be loads of fun.

All I can do is smile and nod my head in agreement. You, without a doubt, know exactly how it is down here. We've been very fortunate here as far as hurricanes are concerned though. Other than a few tropical storms they seem to miss us. Sounds like your C7 will be really nice. Post a some pics when it arrives.

I have been in Florida for 22 years and have a place in Ponce Inlet where they really raced on the beach (place sits on old infield) and Central Florida. Love Lakeland for the winters and the beach for the summers. They spray for Mosquitos in both towns and I find only August to be to hot (we have the best air conditioners in the US here, multiple zoned). We are veterans on hurricanes and actually they tend to be good for the economy. You can sit on the beach in July in Ponce and get a nice cool breeze from the ocean. I am from Greater Cincinnati and you talk about hot in the summer! Love Florida all year long but will probably go to the mountains for August when we retire. I just need to get my C7 vert shipped. Built 11/18 and still bayed. Hopefully get great news this week.

For you warm guys in Florida, that will never know... I'm driving my C7 in below freezing temps all week, and have been very impressed with this machine. Unlike the C6, the C7 has a super fast windshield defrost. It's almost instant when you need it and fogging occurs. Also, the heater is much improved, getting the interior warmer faster and you get heat off that engine in the first 2 mins of start up. The seat warmers are slow to be noticeable, but they were the same in the C6, and not a big deal. You can really appreciate the balance of the new Vette on ice. As long as you don't break the tire traction, it does very well. The "W" weather mode has saved me in one instance on late night hidden water/black ice. This is an amazingly designed car! Hope you Florida guys don't get too bored in normal weather!

Had mine out yesterday in SC, rain stopped but roads still damp. It was 55 but traction control kept on coming on! Felt like a Vette in the old days, but the system catches the wheel spin before I get into trouble! It will be 68 degrees today but rain is back. Supposed to be sunny but only 55 tomorrow, will be going into town so will check traction out again. These Z51 tires want warmer weather!

rainy and 36 deg last couple of days here in Houston, todays high is 50 I think .. don't matter the car handles the weather just fine. I can drive on the toll roads at 80+mph( keeping up with traffic) with no issues.

It was sunny but cold here in Western Washington up until Monday. Then came the snow and ice. I drove up until Monday. I will get her out again as soon as the ice goes away. I bought her to drive her and that's what I'm gonna do. I have no problem driving in icy conditions, its the other people I worry about.

Cooled off today...66 on the FL east coast. Drove about 100 miles to/fro St. Augustine outlets, mostly to test highway mileage. Got about 28 mpg in E mode. Just ok.

Heading to PA on Wednesday for holiday visit. Man, how I dread the drive and the weather. I'll probably chatter my teeth down to nubs. Not taking the C7. No surprise.

Sunny and 22 here in Western Pa and I drove my car to work.Aint gonna need a battery tender for this car.
Don't I recall that you had a "close one" a couple of weeks ago? I think you mentioned the tires aren't geared for that kind of temp. Driving in W mode?
