Since the topic of music has been brought up, I dusted this old thread off. I just noticed that some of the links posted in this thread have expired which is too bad.

Glen, I sure miss Lowell George!

see? we agree on some things....LOL

"Spanish Moon" with the Tower of Power Horn section, off the Live album, is about the best song I've ever heard....In the late 70's, Mick Jagger in Rolling Stone said the best rock and roll band in the world was Little Feat....I concur.....

Ok. Let's see if anyone remembers these guys. The Flying Burrito Brothers. Gram Parsons (also of The Byrds) and Chris Etheridge (the whole reason I know of this band is because Chris Etheridge was from Meridian and died in 2012). I'm including my two favorite songs: "Hot Burrito #1" and "Wild Horses". Of note, Gram Parsons was close friends with Mick and Keith and they let him record and release the song a year prior to them releasing it. If you've never heard Hot Burrito #1 and think that it is a comical song, you are wrong. It is a beautiful ballad. See whatcha think:

I was introduced to Gram through his work with the Byrds (a big fan) and this LP was IMO the best work to come from that union.
