I though the exact same thing!

Probably thought you were driving a $300,000 Ferrari! Great story; thanks!

Do you hire him yet?
If I was looking for help, I'd really consider calling him. I'm overly staffed now... I never thought of doing something like this though. Lol

That is a take off on the true life story Chris Gardner- who was out in Ca, and saw someone driving a nice sports car and asked him that- what do you do and how can I do it. The movie- The Pursuit of Happiness was done on his story.
I did not know that, I'll have to check out that movie.

Maybe Jamaal is a good car wash person! You can hire him as your own car butler. :p
Lol!

I have to give it to Jamaal that's a novel way to introduce himself... Though he might have been better served by acknowledging the beautiful car first! ;)
Yeah, now that you mentioned that, good point!!

Its funny, I have driven a few cars that cost more than this C7 and I have had a few younger people ask me what I do for a living to afford a car like the C7. I usually just point to one of the many 70K+ SUVs the soccer moms park around here and say 'I make less than the person driving that SUV over there because this car costs 10 grand less.'

I really think some people think the C7 costs way more than it does, never had anyone leave a note like that though, except some guy that was mad he swung his door into my Jeep's rock rail and dented his door lol. The handwriting wasnt as nice but the language was much more colorful..

That would have been over the top. The beautiful car was implied by the letter. So beautiful he had to write you a letter. He made an assumption that this car couldn't belong to a guy making $50k a year living at his moms house with no expenses and some handed down cash his grandpa gave him.

Come to think of it, it would be a good experience for him if you called him back to tell him that you work as a mcdonalds drive through attendant and he can come work for them any day. They are hiring. Tell him they need a register person. Then tell him that you can't afford payments on it l, so if he wants to buy it, to let you know.

That will teach him to not associate cars/possessions with a person that makes $$.

I just feel bad for the people that will never be able to afford this car, no matter how hard they work. Life sucks for some people. Not for me though. I am a lucky man.

I agree to an extent, some people are born into money while some work their a$$es off to get there... I'm in the middle here... I'm very fortunate to be where I am in life... My grandparents and parents decisions in their life, reflects into my life. We own our own business and we are very successful at it. It's not gravy though, I work 6 days a week, 11 hours a day and never have off ANY holidays.. Including Christmas Day! I take the good with the bad, money is great but the time and hours suck.
