I purchased a 14 stingray . They had put long tube headers on this already . Looks like different tips as well and removed mufflers for straight pipe . As I’m changing exhaust , since they had already changed and removed the stock , is there a way to figure out if it had npp to begin with ?

Go into the right rear battery compartment in trunk, you should see a white sticker with the production codes, if you see NPP, then it originally came from the factory with the dual mode exhaust.

I assume when you say Stingray you are saying it is not a "Stingray Z51" as all Stingray Z51's have NPP but Base Stingrays it was an optional buy up. So, I agree with Norm to check sticker product codes.
