Brownstone is unique, in that it only is available in the 3LT interior, and always comes with suede on the door panels, the seat "inserts," the center console and the dash insert in front of the passenger seat.

OMG that is beautiful. I have that interior in mine. It's a night race blue vert. Can't wait to get it.

I have it in my Cyber Grey coupe... It was a "mistake" because the dealer thought "Brownstone" was the lighter color... But that's actually "Kalahari" At first when I realized I was getting Grey & Brown.. (And it was too late to change it) I was like Ut Oh! It actually worked out well... I love it..

Then the mistake was a blessing in disguise. I am sure I'm going to love the brownstone. How are the suede insets? I can't wait to see it in person. Never bought a car sight unseen before. Interesting experience.

The suede looks nice actually. I was concerned that faux suede wouldn't wear well over time and not do well in extreme temps... I do not (obviously) know the answer to those questions yet.. But I'm thinking it's going to be ok. I tend to not drive my cars much. My 2001 has 54k miles on it and I got in in Sept 2000. I think it's going to last ok..

I think you'll love the car. I had a chance to sit in one at the auto show and a few weeks later a test drive in a special edition. I was hooked (actually hooked once I saw it at the auto show).

Are you sure you can only get brownstone with suede the gm build site showed you can order without also.
Suede is still an option with brownstone. At a local dealership I recently saw a white nonZ51 with the all leather brownstone interior. The seating faces with perforated brown leather, not the suede. It was REALLY nice. Until I saw it in person, I wasn't fond of brownstone but after seeing the all leather version in person that is what I'd get.

Hi donoh! For the brownstone without suede that you saw, there was still suede on the doors and dash, correct? That is, the non-suede brownstone just deletes the suede on the seats, but keeps all the rest of the suede, correct?

Now that I have my car I can say that the Brownstone with the suede inserts is an absolutely gorgeous interior. It is very elegant looking. I'm so thankful we chose this interior. The other interiors are pretty but IMHO Brownstone is the prettiest.

I saw one in person on a premier edition. There is no doubt about its looks, but I wonder how hard it would be to clean. What will you do to clean the suede?

Here's a link to helpful information on cleaning suede and alcantara.

How to Clean Suede Car Seats | Auto Resource - Internet Autoguide

I have also seen many responses from folks who have used Dawn dish washing liquid. Here a response from one forum user, regarding how he uses Dawn on his Cadillacs' suede:

"Cleaning Suede Wheel & Shiftknob:
My suede wheel and shift knob have gotten pretty darn dirty and matted over the last 17k miles. I tried a couple ways to clean it and found out the best way to do it was to use regular "Dawn" brand dish soap and microfiber towels. Just lather up the microfiber up with water and soap and than brush into where you are cleaning. ALOT of dirt will lift up to the point that you'll think youre lifting the color off. But you're not. Lather it up really good than use another plain wet microfiber towel and just take the soap off. Than every few minutes just rub it down a little with a dry towel to "fluff" up the fiber.

Thanks for the information. I had no idea how to clean it. Was going to start researching that before it needed it.

I'm in the upholstery business, non-automotive. Just an opinion... I would use warm water and a soft cloth as a first line of defense. Only after trying that would I try soaps, treatments, home remedies etc...

If you go the dish detergent route, start with 4 parts water to 1 part mild detergent. Gently rub, don't kill it.

Ordered the Kalahari non insert myself...

Here are a couple of Pictures I shot with my phone while at Hendrick yesterday, sorry for the lighting issue. Brownstone is a gorgeous interior and what I plan to order on my 2015!
