Here's the first picture of a 2015 Z06 in Daytona Sunrise Orange Metallic -- so says AutoEvolution. We do not know yet whether this is photoshopped or for real, but as it is "somewhat lighter and brighter" than the 2005-2006 Daytona Sunset Orange Metallic, it is consistent with GM using those exact words to describe the color. Is it real??? Until we get an official GM picture, at least it is a start.

Too much towards red in the spectrum for us. Always loved the Atomic Orange (not knowing the name we always called it Burnt Orange). Need to see it in person.

I like that rendering. The color in post 1 looks too much like a color you would see on a Ford Festiva.

Hum... Many people could say the same thing about all shades of various colors, yet others like them. Each of the shades above will make a lot of people happy, and others will not agree. So be it.

When I heard of Daytona Orange, I thought of the mid 1970s BMW motorcycle in the Daytona Orange/Silver paint scheme.

Sorry, you're right. I actually liked the look of the look of the orange color on the C6. My comment was specific to that shade of orange in the picture, which thankfully isn't from GM.

I saw this too, but as is the case with all renditions...You really can't tell much. I guess it is still an order that will be based on a leap of faith. I suspect there will be a bunch of jumpers! ;)

Over ten years ago, the wife spent much attention to selecting the color of siding on a vacation home we were building 250 miles from home. She finally selected a color that she thought, from a color chip, was a light gray. and described by the manufacturer as a gray. We were both surprised when we next showed up to see the house in progress, and it was covered with light tan siding. And it was no mistake, it was the color she had selected. We grew to like it.

The moral of the story is, you can never tell what it is going to look like until you actually see it on a car.

I found this; Take it for what it's worth. I expect just like LRG it will pop in direct sunlight, unlike this sample.

Hey I saw that today at Carlisle. They said they were still fine tuning the color and will be releasing it soon for production.
