yes it is a z51 and i constantly check the oil. it's not over fill. has 3700 miles.Z51?
A good chance You Are just overfilled....
Thanks. I hope that's the problem...will find out later today.Check for posts and threads from smokey12 and ret9580. Smokey12 had his oil get in the air intake without the car being overfilled (museum delivery). Ret9850 had his overfilled multiple times by an incompetent dealership, and his leaked oil on his garage floor.
If your problem is the same as some other Z51 oil issues (IF it is the same root cause), then, yes, it is a known problem.
thanks...found out it was the AC. they told me it was the AC line. will get it replace under warranty. looks like engine oil but my oil level never change... and it only leak when i blast the ac. good news I think...90% sure that's your issue. Also will guarantee the RX system will correct it. Your ingesting a ton of oil into your intake air charge and that is what causes the intake valve coking issues. Lot's of threads to read about the details, cause, effect, and cure.
Good luck!
The AC worked but I did heard weird noise when I turn it up like something is losing pressure (air).A failed belt tensioner can also leave a puddle of oil like that. Did you happen to notice that the AC had quit working? In any case, hopefully they got you fixed up.
it wasnt a big leak. only when i blast the ac. i don't know how it works. they just told me it was not the oil. i check my oil and the color of the fluid that leak, could tell it was two diff fluids, just have to look closely. they seems really nice about it. i should get the car back either tonight or tomorrow...waiting on the part to come in. will find out soon enough. and yes the sounds did stop once started moving...i guess thats when the compressor starts...A failed belt tensioner can also leave a puddle of oil like that. yep you were right. i jsut got a call from the dealer. it was the air box thing. they fixed it so it's all good. thanks again.Check for posts and threads from smokey12 and ret9580. yeah definitely thanks...did you have the exact same leak?If it was the AC it would be green fluid. My dealer told me the same BS the first time I had the oil leak. Listen to tuner boost.
Yeah, he did, multiple times.yeah definitely thanks...did you have the exact same leak?
Very common with these....when you can dump oil out of the air intake assy your ingesting a ton of it and doing your motor no good:yeah definitely thanks...did you have the exact same leak?
Yep, continually overfilled by an incompetent service department, until I took it to a new dealer that got it right. By that time I had started California Lemon Law proceedings and was given a FULL refund of everything, including all my car payments to date.yeah definitely thanks...did you have the exact same leak?
