That CF roof is what's holding you back. Still on constraint list. I ordered 16 dec 2013 and my TPW is march 10, 2014 currently at 3300.

There are 3 roofs, transparent, painted and visible CF - the painted roof is also made of CF; and I believe what tpohl1952 is referring to. I do not believe this is on constraint any longer, but the visible CF roof is.....

When did you order yours? I am still at 1100. Ordered my z51 with CF painted top on Dec 6th.
Actually, if you look at the constraint thread, only dual roof packages are constrained on the latest consensus. If you are still at 1100, it means your dealer doesn't have enough allocations left to get a Z51 yet. About every third allocation is a convertible, and the Z51 has been constrained to the 50% level for some time. Therefore, your dealer would need to get 3 allocations to have a decent chance that one will allow a Z51 coupe. Obviously, this has not happened yet, and may not for a while, if your dealer only has a few allocations.

Ask him how many remaining allocations do you have? What number am I on the list? Given that the Z51 package is likely to remain on constraint for some time, probably the entire remaining model year, do you honestly think you can get me this car?

Increasingly, people who ask these questions end up canceling their order, and re-ordering through one of the major vette dealers.

I had originally ordered a visible carbon roof as part of the dual roof package with transparent being the 2nd. The dealer (Lewis Chevy in Tyler, TX) told me that if I dropped the visible carbon and went to a painted/transparent combo I would see a quicker delivery. Man was he right! Ordered mid august delivered (museum) Dec 10, less than a month after switching dual roof options.

So file this in the for what it's worth category: I ordered for Kerbeck a little over two weeks ago. z51 coupe, 3lt, and a few other options. I wanted the dual roof, sales guy tells me that any dual roof option is on permanent constraint, if I really want dual roof plan on waiting until 2015 model year. So I order with standard painted CF roof so that the paint will match and I plan to get the transparent roof later this summer.

Exact same thing my salesman told me...and he's one of the "Big Three." - He should know. It was smart to order the body color roof so you'd be sure the paint matches....the transparent roofs will come a bit later.

I would cancel your order and get your car through Kerbeck, since they have the largest allocation anywhere. You will have your car in 2 1/2 months max, unless you want the carbon fiber roof.

As posted previously, as of yesterday, no constraints on any single roof, e.g. transparent, body-colored carbon fiber, or exposed carbon fiber. The only roof constraint as of now is a 15% production rate on dual roof packages.

We are, however, off thread topic completely. Thread about sad C7 ditch accident. Future posts back to thread topic please.

Make your dealer show you his "allocation" letter, the one from GM that tells him how many coupe and convertible Corvettes he's going to get this model year. If he can't produce the letter, he has no allocation and you'll NEVER get your 'Vette from that dealer. I learned this the hard way, but sat at 1100 for "only" a month before asking to see my dealer's allocation. He had none so I cancelled and bought an in-stock Corvette from dealer on the other side of the country. It should be delivered to my front door in about two weeks.
