I just decided to go ahead and get red calipers for my crystal red Corvette and contacted my dealer to make the change. He wasn't sure he could do that because my order had already been "pulled" by Chevrolet. What does that mean exactly? I placed my order on August 5.

pulled likely meaning a production order was placed.

Thanks for the info, 2nd Stingray. That clears things up a lot. The dealership said they were still expecting a late December or January delivery

the codes are moving faster now if no constraints...I am the poster that put up that code list - Here's my progression as of this morning:

9/10 - deal sealed via email with Coughlin
9/11 - GM workbench 1100 order received from Coughlin
9/17 - code 2000 - order accepted by Chev
9/18 - code 3000 - order accepted by Production
9/26 - code 3300 - order scheduled for production
10/2 - code 3400 - Order Broadcasted for Production (Internal Plant Order Produced)

Glen E!
I seem to be locked in with the same exacts dates as you for 3000, 3300 and 3400... My dealer says things seem to be picking up speed they are getting cars sooner than they were expected to... I am hopeful for Oct delivery...what do you think?

if your car is like mine - meaning no z51... my guess is we're being accelerated along faster because of the 70-80% z51 orders that have choked the system with constraints.......I think they are looking for cars they can complete...I am so glad I did not get z51....

I think we will be surprised how fast the dealer gets non z51 cars...I am going to a big dealer (coughlin) so they can build a load fast when produced....

Glen, I hope you're right about the Z51 constraints. It would be sweet to get an early Christmas present

my order actually went 2000 on 9/12 and is still sitting there. My dealer investigated with GM today and was told to check back on 10/7 as they indicated they hoped production order (3000) would be accepted by that date. That may indicate they see a lift on the constraints but its clear by looking at Glen's timeline that the production delay on Z51 is very real.
