Congratulations!

I ordered my second Corvette from Kerbeck on 9-8-14 with a deposit and number 27 on their current list as I am waiting for the A8.

2015 Z06/Z07 Coupe (2014 is a Z51 3LT Coupe)
3LZ black interior with competition seats
CFV Visible carbon fiber ground effects
M8 transmission
Shark Gray w/Pearl Nickel Wheels (also have the black wheels on the Z51 and you are correct ... a pain to keep clean)
Visible Carbon Fiber Roof
Red Calipers
Hood Stripe Carbon Flash
Carbon fiber interior trim package
Corvette museum delivery
And a few more trinkets

The Z51 becomes my wife's and I get the Z06!

We will be a 2 Corvette family.

GM bought it back in full
Are you permitted to talk about what was wrong that could not be fixed, or did the buy back require you to not disparage GM or its product? Clearly, whatever it was, the fact that you are getting another one means you believe that your problem was an isolated situation.

In CA any gag clause in a lemon law case is explicitly not enforceable, except some specifics of the financial terms of the buy back.

Actually, I personally think gag clauses in a lemon law buy-back stem from some stupid old-school thinking. In fact, nothing makes me look more favorably on a manufacturer than a successful lemon law buyback where someone didn't have to fight forever to get it. Why? Any manufacturer can look like a saint when things go well, but what separates the great companies from the others are those who step up to help their customers when things go really wrong.

If I were a company, I would ask my lemon law buy-back customers to spread the word far and wide: we helped you out when you needed us the most.

Ret9580, congrats on your order and I hope all goes well this time. MacMulkin was an outstanding dealership to work with.

That's awesome that you ordered another even though you had issues with your first one. It is an amazing car especially when there are no issues. On another note. How in the world did the other guy talk his wife into letting him get another one, Z06 no less?! What words does a guy use to get that one past his wife? How does that conversation even start?!

The Stingray is the ONLY car I would give another chance to after the previous issues, however, I'll pass on the Z51 this time, not gonna track it anyway. I learned a great deal from that previous fiasco and from this forum, including GM supplier pricing and how to get it.

There was no gag order. There is a long a$$ thread with pictures if you can find it "woke up to oil leak." I understand why the problem occurred now. In all honesty, I looked at a Porsche Boxster S (test drove), Nissan 370Z, MBZ SLK and a few others after my issues and NOTHING holds a candle to this modern Stingray.

Don't get your hopes up on getting your order picked up on the 16th, with having the visible carbon fiber roof (which is on constraint). I placed my order with Macmulkin a little over 4 weeks ago and I am still at status 1100, I am hoping to get picked up tomorrow but they told me its not guaranteed since the roof is on constraint. From what I have been told you are looking at 6-10 weeks from the point your order gets picked up from GM...so with me ordering 4 weeks ago I am hoping for your timeline you have, after Thanksgiving and before Christmas.

You are a smart man.

Join the club making that exact decision for that reason.

For those who wondered how I was able to get a second C7 and a Z06 no less ... was easy. My current Z51 is an A6 and I let the wife drive it when we go places. She has a lead foot and likes the sound of the exhaust when she accelerates. We had the GM offer to attend the Ron Fellows Driving Course in Nevada. Since the offer is only good for one person, we decided I would go. She asked, "when do I get to go?" Well, my answer was, "when we buy another corvette!" I told her we could get a Z06 and she could have the Z51 ... we laughed about it. I then wanted to drive our Z51 from Southern California to the driving course. She told me, "you aren't taking my car!" Hmmm, so, I went to the course and had a great time. When I returned home ... we put together an order and I am now waiting for the A8 constraint to be lifted. Now, she lets me drive "her" car when we go places! Got a love it and her!!!

Didn't know that, thanks for the heads up!
