re:Elegants reply. your response to this tread is just what i needed to hear. I chose to get the automatic transmission and it's nice to know that GM has responded well to the needs of providing a improved product. I have been quite concerned about my choice and although I'm not changing it (though I could) I think I'll be OK knowing that the ability to use the paddle shifters will enhance my enjoyment of my Ride. thanks for the helpful info
Paddle shifter
My experience with paddle shifting on a single clutch transmission is that when down shifting, it takes half a block for it to get in the next lower gear. Is it that bad on the C7?
